Just over 144 million passengers in mainland France and overseas by 2022<\/strong>. These are the results just announced by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). It's a rather favourable result, since it shows that the number of passengers is now just 19.4% below the record attendance figure for 2019<\/strong><\/a>. For metropolitan France alone, the gap is even narrower, at 19.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strongest growth in traffic to French overseas departments and territories, Africa and the EU<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In December, air traffic in France even accounted for 93.9% of its 2019 results<\/strong>on the same date. Barring any major incident, it is therefore more than likely that French air transport will exceed its 2019 level in 2023.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking at results by segment, international sales fared slightly less well than domestic sales. This is to be expected, since come countries continued to impose entry restrictions <\/strong>on their territory during the year. The number of passengers thus amounted to 116.10 million outside France<\/strong>This represents a difference of 20.2% with 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
