This <strong>25 January <\/strong>marked the start of unladen trial runs. The aim is to inaugurate this new 5 km section in the spring, with as many new stations. These include M\u00e9rignac Soleil, Chemin Long, Cadera Issartier, Caroline Aigle and A\u00e9roport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"591\" height=\"601\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/tbm-tram-a.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-141259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/tbm-tram-a.jpg 591w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/tbm-tram-a-295x300-derived.jpg 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bordeaux-merignac-transports-publics-20230523.html\/\" data-id=\"149127\">Bordeaux-M\u00e9rignac airport, sustainable on public transport<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-frequentation-de-6-500-voyageurs-par-jour\">6,500 passengers a day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>line A <\/strong>is expected to embark its first passengers to and from the M\u00e9rignac hub in the month of<strong>next April<\/strong>. Journey times between Place Pey Berland and the airport are expected to reach <strong>35 minutes<\/strong>. Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole, which has invested <strong>90 million euros <\/strong>in this project initiated in <strong>2019<\/strong>believes that <strong>6,500 passengers <\/strong>should use this extension to line A every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inauguration of the new section will be followed at the end of the year by another major event in the history of the tramway. The tramway will celebrate its 20th anniversary on 21 December 2023, and Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole is preparing a number of events to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroport-caen-carpiquet-objectifs-20230131.html\/\" data-id=\"141683\">Caen-Carpiquet airport nears its targets<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business travellers will soon be able to travel to Bordeaux city centre from the airport by tram. The first trials took place on Wednesday.
