This is the<strong>Lapeyre\" block <\/strong>which has been chosen as the site for this new infrastructure that will contribute to the transformation of the west of Rouen. It will include a <strong>amphitheatre <\/strong>with a capacity of <strong>1,000 seats<\/strong>as well as a <strong>room <\/strong>from <strong>400 seats<\/strong>. The project, which is expected to have a <strong>Minimum floor area of 9900 m\u00b2.<\/strong> (including parking), could also include a <strong>hotel<\/strong>. La <strong>Rouen Metropolitan Area <\/strong>plans to launch the design competition in September 2023, with the aim of achieving a <strong>delivery of the equipment in January 2031<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>This future Convention Centre will be an undeniable national and international showcase for our region.<\/p><cite>Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, Mayor of Rouen and President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>Greater Rouen Normandy gains in attractiveness <\/em>\"underlines <strong>Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol<\/strong>Mayor of Rouen and President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area. \"<em> Strategically located on the Seine axis, and with its tourist appeal recognised throughout Europe and the rest of the world, we still have plenty of scope to develop the region's tourism potential. <strong>business tourism<\/strong>. This future <strong>Congress Centre <\/strong>will be an undeniable tool for our region's national and international influence, helping to keep our region competitive. Above all, however, it will be a facility that serves the development of the region and its stakeholders, enhancing their attractiveness and generating virtuous economic spinoffs. <\/em>\"says Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/parc-expo-mulhouse-dimension-20231220.html\/\" data-id=\"164447\">MICE: the Parc Expo in Mulhouse is thinking bigger<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The official launch of this brand new Convention Centre is the fruit of a year's reflection on the feasibility and value of the project. In particular, the study concluded that it was a \" <em>a need for the local economy, particularly for players in the health, research and higher education sectors, who are currently obliged to organise their conferences elsewhere than in Rouen, or in conditions that are often ill-suited to the issues at stake <\/em>\". In addition, the Metropolis is relying on \" <em>certain benefits for the retail, hotel and restaurant sectors <\/em>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/rouen-hyatt-place-moxy-clamart-havre-20230302.html\/\" data-id=\"143859\">Hyatt Place heads for Rouen, Moxy for Clamart and Le Havre<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-orleans-puissance-4-avec-le-co-met\">Orl\u00e9ans power 4 with CO'Met<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><p>Rouen's announcement comes at a time when a number of French cities are contributing to a national drive to open up new markets. <strong>Valencia <\/strong>had already made a name for itself last year with the inauguration of the \"Jacques Chirac\" complex, which includes a convention centre and exhibition centre (10,000m\u00b2 in total), just a 15-minute walk from Valence Ville station. And the start of 2023 has already seen the inauguration of the Arena in Orl\u00e9ans, completing a new events, cultural and sports complex: CO'Met.<\/p> <p>The \"4 in 1\" project is based on the modularity and complementary nature of the different areas. It includes a 16,000 m\u00b2 Exhibition Centre - Le Loiret, expandable to 33,000 m\u00b2, divided into four halls. CO'Met also has a convention centre with a 1,000-seat auditorium, a 228 m\u00b2 stage and a seating capacity of 1,000. It is also equipped with modern committee rooms (mobile acoustic walls, state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, motorised screens) that can accommodate up to 820 people. Last but not least, the Arena was inaugurated at the beginning of January. And it, too, has some solid arguments in its favour: a 3,000 m\u00b2 stage and modular stands (up to 10,000 seats), a ring of 28 boxes (20 to 88 m\u00b2), a 360-degree LED banner screen, an LED cube for animations and slow-motion replays, etc. The home of Orl\u00e9ans Loiret Basket, the resident club, is already approved for international competitions in basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, boxing, gymnastics, judo and athletics. Presented by those in charge of the project as \"\u00a0<em>one of France's largest convention centres for the development of business tourism<\/em>\u00a0\"and a\u00a0<em>a unique concept in France<\/em>\" the CO'Met targets \"\u00a0<em>national and international economic, cultural and sporting events<\/em>\" .<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mice-auvergne-rhone-aquitaine-20221202.html\/\" data-id=\"137301\">MICE in Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes and Nouvelle-Aquitaine: greener, stronger<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the environmental aspect, this will involve the use of geothermal and photovoltaic energy. Orl\u00e9ans M\u00e9tropole states that it has opted for a building that complies with RT 2012 (thermal regulations) minus 50%, and for a \"global performance contract covering design, deconstruction, construction, maintenance, major maintenance\/renewal, as well as the cost of fluids and energy for all the project's equipment\".<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"504\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/orleans-comet-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-141745\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/orleans-comet-.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/orleans-comet--300x216-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Inauguration of CO'Met in Orl\u00e9ans<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nice-et-nimes-en-approche\">Nice and N\u00eemes approaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Other top French destinations will soon be following suit. The new <strong>N\u00eemes Convention Centre <\/strong>is expected for <strong>2025<\/strong>. It will consist of two buildings linked by a footbridge and a technical basement. One will house a <strong>700-seat auditorium<\/strong>The other will be an exhibition hall and multi-purpose meeting rooms, all overlooked by a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Arena. Those in charge of the project cite a number of eco-responsible measures, including the use of geothermal probes, photovoltaic solar panels, a green roof, a sunshade, a rainwater recovery system and the use of a majority of natural bio-sourced materials. These efforts should result in B\u00e2timents durables Occitanie (silver level) and BREEAM (very good level) certification, according to the objectives set by the city of N\u00eemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/gds-index-villes-francaises-20221115.html\/\" data-id=\"136327\">GDS-Index: French towns demonstrate their environmental commitment<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"318\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/nice-congres.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-141763\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/nice-congres.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/nice-congres-300x136-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The Nice Exhibition and Convention Centre will be surrounded by 40,000 m\u00b2 of greenery in the Grand Ar\u00e9nas district.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Even further south, in 2027, the following will be delivered to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nice-futur-palais-congres-port-20230407.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Nice <\/strong>the <strong>Exhibition and Convention Centre<\/strong><\/a>. It will be located on the site of the March\u00e9 d'Int\u00e9r\u00eat National (MIN), in the new Grand Ar\u00e9nas business district. The new facility will be strategically positioned, particularly for international customers, thanks to its immediate proximity to the airport. \"\u00a0<em>Le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nice-palais-des-congres-avril-20250320.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Exhibition and Convention Centre<\/a> <\/strong>will put Nice on the world map<\/em>\u00a0\"In fact, the people in charge of the Nice C\u00f4te d'Azur metropolitan area have already said so. The project places particular emphasis on the accessibility of Nice's new MICE centre via the Saint-Augustin Multimodal Interchange Hub, and aims to be hybrid, hyperconnected and responsible. The city expects to reduce CO\u00b2 by 820 tonnes a year, and the Exhibition and Convention Centre will be surrounded by 40,000 m\u00b2 of vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nice-palais-congres-20211025.html\/\" data-id=\"115203\">In Nice, the \"Convention Centre of the Future\" takes shape<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rouen is to get a new convention centre.
