Korean Air is speeding up the renewal of its fleet with its new high contribution class products. Following the delivery of Boeing 777-300ERs and the refurbishment of a Boeing 77-200ER, nine routes will benefit from the new Korean Air product this winter, instead of three during the summer. The Kosmo Suite (first class) features a 180\u00b0 lie-flat seat in a private cabin. The seat has been widened by 15.3 cm to offer even more space. In Prestige business class, a 180\u00b0 reclining lie-flat seat offers 66 cm more space between each row than in the previous configuration. Both classes benefit from giant video screens.<\/p>\n
The new configuration is available on the airline's long-haul routes from Seoul-Incheon to Los Angeles, Seattle and Washington DC, as well as on certain medium-haul routes such as Hong Kong, Jakarta, Beijing and Shanghai.<\/p>\n
A further four Boeing B777-200ERs will join the fleet by next March. Korean Air expects its entire fleet to be reconfigured to the new standards by April 2011, when it will have integrated 70 aircraft. Between now and 2014, the airline will also take delivery of ten Airbus A380s and ten Boeing B787s, with the first aircraft scheduled for 2010.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
