While the upturn in tourism in Thailand is once again filling planes to Bangkok and Phuket, the Thai national carrier is continuing to increase its frequencies, but without any real boom in supply. In its summer timetable, which comes into force on 26 March, Thai Airways International<\/a> offer a network of 39 destinations, including nine intercontinental destinations (Europe and Australia)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit Europe<\/strong>the carrier will offer two daily flights to London Heathrow and Frankfurt and a daily flight<\/strong> on Copenhagen and Munich, Paris-CDG<\/strong>Stockholm and Zurich. Still missing from the list of European cities are such important ports of call as Brussels <\/a>or Milan. In Australia, the carrier now only operates to Melbourne and Milan. On the other hand, the company is gaining momentum in China<\/strong>. Since 1 March, Thai Airways International has been flying again to five cities in the People's Republic. These are Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Beijing and Shanghai<\/strong>. There are 14 flights a week, with each destination served two or three times a week. Only Shanghai is served four times a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit Hong Kong<\/strong>To Taipei, the carrier offers two daily flights (3 from 1 July) and to Taipei one daily flight (two from 01\/07). Thai Airways also strengthens its presence in Japan<\/strong>. From 1 July, the airline will offer three daily flights to Tokyo-Narita<\/strong> and two daily flights to Osaka-Kansai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another major change for the network to Indochina, one of the carrier's strong points. All flights to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam<\/strong> will now be operated solely by the simplified services subsidiary, Thai Smile<\/strong>. However, this decision in no way affects the hub's role for the whole of Indochina.<\/strong> occupied by Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
