Delano, Mondrian: both of these signs play on the aura of their original hotels<\/strong>In the 1990s, these two hotels were pioneers in what was not yet known as the lifestyle hotel industry. The Delano, in Miami South Beach, and the Mondrian, in West Hollywood near Los Angles, are two of the most prestigious hotels in the world. urban resorts<\/strong> were branded by their creator, Ian Schrager. Teaming up with the cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me of the design world - Philippe Starck for the Delano - this key entrepreneur of the trendy hotel industry had extended the wave of his New York boutique hotels to sunny Florida and California, ideal for establishments with a more leisure-oriented focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From acquisitions to mergers, these two brands are now part of Ennismore. Like Raffles, St Regis and Waldorf Astoria, Delano and Mondrian intend to keep the flame of their pennant hotels burning<\/strong> and spreading it around the world. These developments include the opening in Paris of the first Delano House<\/a>an intimate variation on the original concept. With just 56 rooms, including 19 suites, the Maison Delano Paris<\/strong> revisits a private mansion near Place de la Concorde, rue d'Anjou, as a cosy, sophisticated cocoon. A revisit, or rather an extension, of this vocation, as the place was once home to the Buddha Bar Hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
