Swiss\u00f4tel has returned to its flagship hotel in Beijing, one of the deans <\/strong>of international chain hotels in the Chinese capital. Opened in 1991, the Swiss\u00f4tel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center was also one of the key establishments during the 2008 Olympic Games for welcoming officials and the media. And this popular stopping-off point for celebrities visiting Beijing has been given a new lease of life following its complete renovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in the embassy district of Sanlitun, the hotel closed its doors at the end of December 2018 for four years of works. Time enough to give the place a new contemporary design<\/strong> including its 467 completely redesigned rooms, to equip it with the latest technologies, and to give it a more sustainable look with, in particular, energy-efficient air conditioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel has been redesigned to reflect the Swiss identity of the brand, which joined Accor in 2016, at the same time as Fairmont and Raffles<\/a>. Quality, tranquillity, vitality <\/strong>Vitality: this cultural heritage linked to the Alpine region is reflected in the healthy, gourmet food and drink on offer, as well as in the new suites dedicated to the well-being of travellers. These Vitality suites include fitness equipment, P\u00fcrovel 100 % organic skincare products, a state-of-the-art air purification system and Xbox video games. As well as offering moments of relaxation in the privacy of the room, the Vitality suites also give residents access to the Swiss Executive Club Lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This idea of health and well-being is also reflected in the Swiss\u00f4tel brand's MICE concept, Vitality Meetings, organised around healthy menus and dynamic activities. As part of this concept, the Beijing hotel has a large MICE space<\/strong>1,750 m\u00b2, featuring the latest audiovisual equipment and sustainable technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And 50 for Pullman in China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the return to business of the Swiss\u00f4tel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center, the upmarket brand is preparing other openings in China, including this year's Swiss\u00f4tel Hefei Grand Park. Developments in Chengdu, Changsha, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Sanya are also planned. But Swiss\u00f4tel is not the only brand that Accor can count on to expand its range of upmarket hotels in China. In recent days, Accor has also celebrated the opening of the fiftieth Pullman<\/strong> in Haining, Zhejiang province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
