{"id":147635,"date":"2023-04-27T15:57:33","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T13:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=147635"},"modified":"2023-08-22T17:21:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-22T15:21:11","slug":"air-france-klm-light-fares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-klm-light-fares","title":{"rendered":"Air France-KLM launches \"Light\" fare in business and premium economy classes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to offer its passengers wider fare options, at the best price, and with more choice, <strong>Air France-KLM <\/strong>introduces a <strong>Light fare option in the Business cabin and in Premium Comfort (KLM) and Premium Economy (Air France) classes<\/strong>. The fare does, of course, offer all the on-board services and comfort of these classes of travel. But it also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-klm-reservation-sieges-business-20230329.html\/\">certain advantages<\/a> inherent to both cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Premium Economy or Premium Comfort<\/strong>, <strong>tickets can only be changed at extra cost<\/strong>. <strong>Lower baggage allowance<\/strong> Instead of two pieces of baggage, passengers can take a 23 kg suitcase with them free of charge. Any additional baggage is charged at the same price as baggage in Economy Light. The only other free benefit: passengers travelling in Premium Economy Light benefit from Sky Priority check-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nouvelle-business-klm-20230703.html\/\" data-id=\"151639\">New business gains ground at KLM<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Business Class Light<\/strong>customers can still take away free of charge<strong> one piece of checked luggage weighing 32kg<\/strong>instead of two for a traditional fare. Access to the <strong>exhibition <\/strong>will be charged for, and any changes to reservations will also be billed. The Sky Priority service, on the other hand, remains in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span id=\"page32R_mcid23\" class=\"markedContent\"><strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Passengers can always choose<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">purchase individual services separately, for <\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>example of luggage options<\/strong>. Any additional baggage can be purchased as an option. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">at the time of booking or later in \"My Trip\" on KLM.com or \"Your Trip\" on KLM.com. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">reservations\" on Air<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">france.com. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another major difference: <strong>Light fares are non-refundable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tariff option came into effect on <strong>24 April <\/strong>on the following destinations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Europe (including France and the Netherlands) <strong>to all intercontinental destinations worldwide\u00b9.<\/strong><\/li><li>from the Caribbean and Indian Ocean to all destinations worldwide\u00b2.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>1. Excluding the United States, Canada, Mexico, Tahiti, China, Vietnam and Mauritius.<br>2. Excluding the United States, Canada, Mexico, Tahiti and China.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>However, the difference in price between Light and Standard is very slight. <\/strong>It is only 100 euros in Business and between 60 and 75 euros in Premium Economy.
