This is what the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/steigenberger-berlin-aeroport-20201102.html\/\">airport <strong>Berlin<\/strong><\/a> with its <strong>new facial recognition application BER Traveller<\/strong>. The airport authority is a member of the <strong>Lufthansa <\/strong>and the biometric service provider, <strong>FastID<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three companies have just launched a test phase. During this period, the service will be available to <strong>members of the HON circle and Senator of the Lufthansa group<\/strong>. This also includes passengers flying on <strong>Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings and Swiss<\/strong>. On request, passengers can register for BER Traveller and use the application during the test period. Voluntary registration is carried out via an application from the FastID supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/biometrie-reconnaissance-faciale-aeroports-20190723.html\/\" data-id=\"87615\">Biometrics: should we be worried about facial recognition at airports?<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, the service will allow passengers to use <strong>priority access for security checks<\/strong> by facial recognition instead of a boarding pass. Identity is verified by taking photos using cameras installed at processing points. Passengers can therefore manage their profile and user data independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the longer term, facial recognition will be extended to the airport's self-service check-in and boarding gates, as well as for access to Lufthansa lounges. The airport has posted detailed instructions on how to use BER Traveller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/lufthansa-domine-berlin-20201214.html\/\" data-id=\"103211\">Lufthansa Group dominates in Berlin<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BER Traveller allows certain Lufthansa passengers to pass through certain processing points at the airport without having to show any documents, thanks to facial recognition. This project is currently being
