Travellers departing from Hong Kong <\/strong>can once again drop off their luggage in town rather than at the airport<\/strong>. Good news for passengers with the reopening of theAirport Express in Hong Kong<\/strong> the 5 July<\/strong> next.<\/p>\n

The information was given at the beginning of the week by the American news agency Bloomberg. This service for airport passengers had been suspended in April 2020<\/strong> with the Covid crisis.<\/p>\n

Three stations<\/strong> in the city previously offered baggage check-in desks<\/strong> : Hong Kong station, Kowloon station and Tsing Yi station<\/strong>. If Airport Express confirms that Hong Kong station will welcome passengers who have checked in their luggage in advance, no date has been given for the return to service of the other two stations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the first five months of the year, l'Hong Kong airport<\/a> handled 13.2 million passengers and 96,410 flight movements<\/strong>. This represents an increase of more than 23 times compared to the low result for the same period in 2022. Year-on-year, airport traffic stands at 18.5 million.
