It will be operational on <strong>9 November <\/strong>next. Volotea, which will operate to <strong>Gatwick<\/strong>will launch its <strong>first scheduled service to the UK<\/strong>. The airline will be the only player to offer this route. This route will probably be of interest to business travellers from Strasbourg, but they will have to cope with reduced frequency: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nouveau-vol-bordeaux-barcelone-volotea-20240926.html\/\">Volotea <\/a>only provides <strong>two flights a week <\/strong>between Strasbourg and Gatwick, the <strong>Thursdays <\/strong>and <strong>Sundays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch, made official on <strong>19 July<\/strong>confirms the major role played by <strong>Volotea <\/strong>on the<strong>Strasbourg airport<\/strong>. The airline also claims leadership in terms of destinations and seats. Volotea has <strong>22 destinations from Strasbourg <\/strong>- with the addition of Gatwick - and will offer some 760,000 seats this year to and from the Alsatian airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/amelia-strasbourg-amsterdam-munich-20220307.html\/\" data-id=\"122077\">Strasbourg, the starting point for Amelia's European ambitions<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"588\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/strasbourg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-152661\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/strasbourg.jpg 588w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/strasbourg-258x300-derived.jpg 258w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 588px) 100vw, 588px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>This new route marks the consolidation of the already strong partnership between Volotea and Strasbourg Airport.<\/p><cite>Renaud Paubelle, Chairman of the Strasbourg Airport Management Board<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-volotea-lignes-domestiques-20230827.html\/\" data-id=\"155293\">Volotea steals Air France's thunder on domestic routes<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Strasbourg airport management is delighted with this new window on the UK. <strong>Renaud Paubelle<\/strong>Chairman of the Strasbourg Airport Management Board, said: \" <em>Strasbourg Airport is delighted that Volotea has launched a route between Strasbourg and London Gatwick. This new route marks the consolidation of the already strong partnership between Volotea and Strasbourg Airport. It will enable Alsatians to discover or rediscover the world-famous British capital. It also makes the European capital of Alsace accessible to British customers, who will no doubt be charmed by the many attractions of Strasbourg and its region. <\/em>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, Volotea's Chief Strategy Officer <strong>Gabriel Schmilovich <\/strong>states: \" <em>Strasbourg is an important base for Volotea.
