Launched in 2016, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/avec-izy-thalys-explore-la-voie-du-low-cost-20160301.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">low-cost subsidiary of <strong>Thalys<\/strong><\/a> disappeared from the radar last summer after <strong>six years' service<\/strong> between <strong>Paris<\/strong> and <strong>Brussels<\/strong>. The project unveiled on <strong>18th July <\/strong>by the Franco-Belgian duo is reminiscent of this intermediate positioning: longer journey times at lower fares. But neither the 'low-cost' concept nor IZY are mentioned in the press release. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/thalys-izy-cest-fini-20220519.html\/\" data-id=\"125397\">Thalys: Izy, it's over<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\"<em>In order to offer passengers a new service between <strong>Brussels <\/strong>and <strong>Paris<\/strong>To complement existing high-speed services, SNCB and SNCF Voyageurs are studying the possibility of creating a new regular passenger rail service using conventional high-speed services by the end of 2024.<\/em>\"say the two partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>The aim is to enable as many passengers as possible to make this international journey as quickly as possible and at a competitive price.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trenitalia-paris-bruxelles-amsterdam-20230822.html\/\" data-id=\"154143\">Trenitalia targets the Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam route<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything could go very quickly for this new subsidiary dedicated to the Paris-Brussels route. Except perhaps for the train itself... The project provides for <strong>\"<em>an intermediate journey time between road and high-speed rail<\/em>\"<\/strong>. \"<em>The aim is to enable as many passengers as possible to make this international journey as quickly as possible and at a competitive price.<\/em>\"says the press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IZY <\/strong>had opted for a journey just under an hour longer than that of Thalys. According to the information published by transport specialist mobilithib - based on the form submitted by SNCF to the French Transport Regulation Authority (Autorit\u00e9 de R\u00e9gulation des Transports) - the future service should be provided by <strong>between 2h50 and 3h10<\/strong>compared with 1h30 for the high-speed version. <strong>five times a day<\/strong>. Stops will be made at the following stations <strong>Creil, Aulnoye-Aymeries, Mons, Brussels Central, Brussels South and Brussels North<\/strong>.
