In addition to France, the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands were also surveyed. And unsurprisingly, after focusing on the health issue during the crisis, the <strong>cost control <\/strong>is back in the spotlight. Rising prices are cited as the main concern of travel managers in their 2023 travel programme. The European average is 63%, but the figure rises to 73% among French and British managers. The fear of fare increases is particularly acute in the air (59%) and hotel (57%) sectors. Unsurprisingly, European travel managers are expecting a <strong>increase in their travel budget <\/strong>in 2023, particularly among Dutch (77%) and French (73%) managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/previsions-cwt-gbta-2024-20230823.html\/\" data-id=\"154447\">Business travel and meetings: price forecasts for 2024<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"599\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-2023.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-155461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-2023.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-2023-300x257-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/cvent-palmares-destinations-reunion-20230530.html\/\" data-id=\"149703\">Meetings: Cvent unveils its top lists worldwide<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>As a corollary, the volatility of the economic environment worries a third of those surveyed (36%), as do the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/crise-niger-experts-securite-20230804.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">geopolitical conflicts<\/a> (32%), according to the 2023 report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bb-hotels-cvent-clientele-affaires-20250723.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cvent <\/a>Travel Managers. It should be noted that the <strong>Covid <\/strong>has not disappeared from the radar, cited by almost a quarter of respondents (23%). As for the <strong>climate change<\/strong>It is cited by 30% of travel managers.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-hotels.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"596\" height=\"831\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-hotels.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-155467\" style=\"width:276px;height:385px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-hotels.jpg 596w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/cvent-hotels-215x300-derived.jpg 215w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>It remains to be seen how travel managers intend to meet these various challenges. And in particular that of <strong>price hikes<\/strong>. According to Cvent, companies intend to combine business travel and meetings &amp; events to a greater extent: 4 out of 10 managers favour this option. Ultimately, however, this will often mean cutting back on certain areas of expenditure. Thus, 37% of those surveyed intend to reduce the number of employees travelling - and even 43% for the <strong>French companies<\/strong>. Downward renegotiation of hotel rates also appears to be a favoured lever (34%), even if this mechanically implies a deterioration in the traveller experience...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Price remains the number one choice criterion when it comes to including a hotel in a travel programme for the majority of respondents (51%), ahead of its location (37%) and the flexibility of its pricing policy. It should be noted that the hotel's environmental commitments do not appear in this top 10...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, the 2023 Cvent Travel Managers report shows that travel managers have not turned their backs on the 'green economy'.<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/conferences-tendances-bizzabo-20230816.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hybrid<\/a><\/strong>On the contrary. It is the trend most likely to influence their business travel priorities in 2024 and 2025, according to a full third of respondents (34%). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside
