{"id":156305,"date":"2023-09-07T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=156305"},"modified":"2023-09-18T13:51:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T11:51:51","slug":"air-france-klm-etihad-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-klm-etihad-partnership","title":{"rendered":"Air France-KLM Group and Etihad strengthen their partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Air France-KLM Group and Etihad Airways<\/strong>the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, <strong>have just finalised a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening their collaboration<\/strong> in commercial passenger transport, loyalty programmes, talent development and aircraft maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the framework of this partnership, and subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory authorisations, <strong>Air France-KLM and Etihad plan to extend a code-share and interlining agreement<\/strong> dating back to 2012. Initially, <strong>more than 40 new routes serving destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Australia go on sale on 7 September<\/strong>for travel from the summer season onwards.<strong>winter 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-plus-d-avantages-pour-les-frequent-flyers\">More advantages for frequent flyers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The memorandum of understanding also provides for the possibility for customers who are members of loyalty programmes to <strong>Flying Blue<\/strong> and <strong>Etihad Guest <\/strong>to collect and use miles when travelling with Air France, KLM and Etihad. <strong>Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways will also study the possibility of combining their operations in the same terminals at certain airports.<\/strong>The two airlines have also agreed to grant each other's customers access to their airport lounges, and to cooperate on ground handling services, among other initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Etihad currently operates daily flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol from Abu Dhabi International Airport. <strong>From 29 October 2023, it will also include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-abu-dhabi-raleigh-durham-20230718.html\/\">a daily Air France flight from Paris-Charles de Gaulle<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/abu-dhabi-nouveau-terminal-20230831.html\/\" data-id=\"155637\">Abu Dhabi: the inauguration of the new Terminal A takes shape<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Angus Clarke, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, Air France-KLM<\/strong>said: \"\u00a0<em>I am delighted to be continuing the development of our partnership with Etihad Airways, which began 11 years ago.
