It's now official. Nearly 10 years<\/strong> after its abolition, the night train<\/a> Paris-Berlin <\/strong>will be back in service in December <\/strong>on the initiative of the Austrian company \u00d6BB <\/strong>which already operates several night trains in Europe, its famous \"Nightjet<\/a><\/strong> such as Paris-Vienne<\/strong> and Brussels-Vienna<\/strong>. The first rotation will leave Berlin<\/strong> the 11 December <\/strong>and Paris the following evening for a travel between 1 and 2 p.m. <\/strong>depending on the meaning. Three weekly rotations <\/strong>will be on offer to start with, before moving on to daily <\/strong>planned fromOctober 2024<\/strong>. This night service will offer stops at Strasbourg, Mannheim, Erfut and Halle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The departure of the Gare de l'Est<\/strong><\/a> is already scheduled to depart from Berlin at 7.12pm, arriving the next day at 8.26am. In the other direction, the train will leave the German capital at 8.18pm before joining its Parisian counterpart later, at 10.24am. Three travel classes<\/strong> will be marketed in this Nightjet with seating <\/strong>(from \u20ac34.90), the bunks <\/strong>(from \u20ac49.90) and sleeping cars<\/strong> (from \u20ac79.90\/pers.). In order to make it easier to operate<\/strong> jointly operated by \u00d6BB <\/strong>and the Deutsche Bahn<\/strong> (DB), but also to ensure commercial profitability<\/strong>The train will comprise 12 cars<\/strong> of which only 6 will continue on to Berlin after separating on German soil, the other 6 heading towards Vienna<\/strong>. Each part of the train will be joined by cars from the Brussels-Vienna train, which has been operating since January 2020, and the Brussels-Berlin train, which will be launched at the same time. \u00d6BB's night service will therefore compete head-on with the Brussels-Berlin service already operated at night via Amsterdam by the Belgian-Dutch company European Sleeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
