Neither a major revolution in design, nor features as spectacular as those promised by the future Vision Pro headset, which will combine virtual and face-to-face interaction: the main evolution of the new iPhone 15 range lies in the development of new features and functions.u very classic, with a USB-C connector<\/strong>. Gone are the days of using a Lightning cable to recharge your laptop or connect it to a computer: Apple is adopting the market standard, forced to do so by European regulations that will require this standardisation from the end of 2024. However, apart from this standardisation, the new smartphones unveiled at the Cupertino firm's autumn keynote are not without surprises. Starting with some good news for buyers with falling prices<\/strong> by between \u20ac50 and \u20ac100 compared to the iPhone 14 when it first came out. Prices range from \u20ac969 for the iPhone 15 to \u20ac1,229 for the 15 Pro and \u20ac1,479 for the 15 Pro Max, the latter remaining at the same price as the Max model launched last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another positive point, for the environment this time: with the aim of make every product carbon neutral by 2030<\/strong>Apple's new iPhone range includes a higher proportion of recycled materials, while giving priority to clean electricity in its supply chain. Other initiatives include the abandonment of leather for these models and packaging made from over 99 % of fibre, with zero plastic expected by 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from these points in common, Apple has switched to titanium \"\u00a0aerospace quality<\/em>\"\u00a0<\/strong> for its top-of-the-range Pro and Pro Max models. This makes these smartphones more resistant, but above all lighter, with a reduction in weight of almost 10 %. While they feature new contoured edges on the design side, the Super Retina XDR screens remain the same size, at 6.1 inches for the standard model and 6.7 inches for the Pro Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While these models have the Dynamic Island feature, introduced last year, which displays notifications, a timer or a track you're listening to on Spotify at the top of the screen, the iPhone 15 Pro models feature a brand new Action button<\/strong>This replaces the switch that used to be used to switch to silent mode.
