Some airlines are also taking precautions when serving Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The <strong>Lufthansa<\/strong> said<strong> <\/strong>temporarily suspend its services. Its daily flight to Frankfurt and several of Eurowings' weekly frequencies to D\u00fcsseldorf have been cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The national carrier Middle East Airlines (<strong>MEA<\/strong>), flight programmes are<strong> updated daily<\/strong>. As a result, 9 flights have been cancelled this Monday 23 October and on 24 October,<strong> the company cancels 7 frequencies<\/strong>. Most of the<strong> these cancellations concern routes to the rest of the Middle East<\/strong> or the Gulf States. However, an afternoon flight to London and a flight to Athens have been cancelled on Tuesday 24. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight schedule can be consulted at https:\/\/www.mea.com.lb\/english\/about-mea\/news-and-press-releases\/news-and-press-releases. The airline explains its decision by the drop in traffic in the face of the <strong>possible expansion of the conflict in Lebanon<\/strong>In addition, there has been a reduction in insurance cover for aviation risks in wartime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pas-de-consequence-sur-le-trafic-france-liban\">No impact on France-Lebanon traffic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are no major upheavals in France <\/strong>of the airline offer for the moment. Both Air France and Transavia are providing <strong>all their flights<\/strong> to Paris CDG, Paris Orly, Lyon and Marseille. Air France has one daily flight to Lebanon and MEA two daily flights to CDG. Transavia operates one flight a day to Paris Orly, three flights a week to Lyon and one flight a week to Marseille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Connections to Brussels and Geneva<\/strong>These are served solely by MEA, with four flights a week, <strong>last<\/strong> for the time being. You should also consult the timetables of the two airlines and the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 18 October, the Ministry of <strong>\"\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.diplomatie.gouv.fr\/fr\/conseils-aux-voyageurs\/conseils-par-pays-destination\/liban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>advises French visitors who are considering a trip to Lebanon not to travel there, unless there is a compelling reason to do so<\/em><\/a><strong>\" .<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More and more flights are being cancelled in Beirut.
