Philippe Starck was at the genesis of the Mondrian brand, creating its first establishment in Los Angeles in 1997. The world-famous design star is back with a new creation, the Mondrian Bordeaux Les Carmes. Expected in mid-November<strong> in the lively Chartrons district<\/strong>a location that suits the lifestyle spirit of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/ennismore-cent-lifestyle-accor-20220927.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">managed by Accor through its subsidiary Ennismore<\/a>the hotel revisits <strong>an address known throughout Bordeaux<\/strong> The Hanappier and Calvet cellars, whose fa\u00e7ade has stretched along the M\u00e9doc since 1871. Long the heart of the wine trade, the site was replaced by a renowned restaurant, Table Calvet, after a fire destroyed the cellars in 1966.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mondrian-lifestyle-cannes-mars-20230227.html\/\" data-id=\"143673\">Mondrian Cannes opens in March<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Renovated, transformed and rethought, these walls are now home to a refined five-star hotel, with a new d\u00e9cor that combines the past with the present, and the West with the East, <strong>Japanese aesthetics as a common thread<\/strong>. The Mondrian Bordeaux Les Carmes is the first restaurant in France to open its kitchens to world-renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto. It's a place to feel extremely well, a place that's clearly French and from Bordeaux, but that will transport you to a totally invented other place.<\/em>\" says Philippe Starck, the hotel's designer and artistic director. Playing on clean lines, moulded concrete walls and noble, natural materials, the <strong>97 rooms and suites<\/strong> have been designed as cocoons, some opening onto private terraces planted with vegetation. At the same time, two of the suites can be connected for events, with access to the terrace on the building's roof-fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the relaxation and well-being offered by an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa, the new Mondrian hotel aims to establish itself as a new venue for business meetings in the Bordeaux area. The hotel offers <strong>two seminar rooms<\/strong> which can be combined to create a 112 m\u00b2 space suitable for a variety of configurations, including theatres, meetings and
