Dolce by Wyndham, the American group's MICE brand, is to return to the Paris region. Long present in Chantilly<\/a>It disappeared when its hotel was sold under the Mercure banner, owned by the Accor group. But it is set to reappear from next March, not to the north of the capital, but to the west<\/strong>in Jouy-en-Josas, in the Yvelines department.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The future Dolce by Wyndham Versailles is part of the rebirth of a historic site<\/strong>The Domaine du Montcel, now a top-of-the-range hotel. Dating back to the XVIIIe<\/sup> In the 19th century, it was the stronghold of the Oberkampf family, who founded the Royal Printed Cloth Factory on the estate. the famous toile de Jouy<\/strong> - who bought the site in 1795 and subsequently enlarged it. More recently, the Fondation Cartier rented this listed estate between 1980 and 1993.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Given this background, the refurbishment of the estate as a hotel was bound to celebrate a certain French art of living<\/strong>from ancient times to the most contemporary. The 178 accommodation units - divided into rooms, suites and flats - celebrate in their d\u00e9cor the canvas that has made the hotel's reputation, with visual references to the painter Corot, known among other things for his depictions of the verdant landscapes of the neighbouring Bi\u00e8vre valley.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As for contemporary art, the estate's grounds are still home to several monumental works <\/strong>witnesses to the presence of the Fondation Cartier, in particular Long Term Parking<\/em>a composition of stacked cars by French artist Arman, or Tribute to Eiffel<\/em>by the sculptor C\u00e9sar, made from beams lightened from the famous tower.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The hotel's contemporary interior architecture is in keeping with this environment, with the design of the Sothys spa, the chic La Toile brasserie and the Le C\u00e8dre bar by the Flamant Interior Design (FID) team. And, here and there, poetic murals by artist Micha\u00ebl Cailloux adorn the staircase, the duplex lifts at Le Montcel, and also the Baccarat ballroom<\/strong>It can accommodate up to 450 people for cocktails, and opens onto a beautiful terrace.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

And there is a ballroom, as the hotel is dedicated to hosting meetings and events with its 1,800 m\u00b2 conference centre<\/strong> comprising 18 rooms. Eight of these rooms are specially designed for executive committees, with boardroom seating for 6 to 20 people. But the estate is also suitable for events of all sizes, particularly car product launches in the shadow of the sculpture. Long Term Parking<\/em>. Spacious exhibition and logistics areas, a car park equipped with 18 recharging stations for electric vehicles, a ballroom with doors wide enough to allow access for exhibition vehicles: everything is planned with this in mind.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

But the hotel is also ideal for corporate meetings, ranging from study days and half-day events to residential seminars at the grand vert<\/strong>. To this end, the Dolce Versailles is reserving a restaurant for business guests staying at the hotel, La Manufacture, located in the historic wing of the ch\u00e2teau. At the same time, the hotel will be offering a signature team-building activity, the \"Montcel Treasure Hunt\". A friendly digital adventure game in which participants, divided into teams, take on augmented reality challenges and themed escape games as they explore the verdant surroundings of the estate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
