Last year, the service even entered the digital age, with the possibility of checking in online via airfrance.fr, even for the rail portion of the journey...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>SNCF <\/strong>and <strong>Air France<\/strong>the two French heavyweights in business travel, are putting their competitive relationship on hold for the time being in favour of smoother, and if possible, more energy-efficient travel...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<p>The service <strong>Train + Air <\/strong>provides travellers with a <strong>single booking <\/strong>for their entire journey, combining rail and air. Above all, it <strong>guarantees a seat on the next flight or train<\/strong> in the event of delays, free of charge. Last year, the service even entered the digital age, with the possibility of checking in online via airfrance.fr, even for the rail portion of the journey...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>SNCF <\/strong>and <strong>Air France<\/strong>the two French heavyweights in business travel, are putting their competitive relationship on hold for the time being in favour of smoother and, if possible, more energy-efficient journeys. <strong>CO2<\/strong>... In three decades, the partnership will have reached <strong>33 links <\/strong>to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly (via Massy TGV station).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement of the <strong>24 November <\/strong>adds <strong>8 links <\/strong>the Train + Air intermodal service: a quantum leap that will benefit business customers in particular. The stations concerned are <strong>Aix-en-Provence, Arras, Laval and Lille Flandres <\/strong>for journeys to the two Paris airports: <strong>Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly<\/strong>. The station of <strong>Perpignan <\/strong>now benefits from this link with Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All in all, <strong>41 links <\/strong>are now covered by the Train + Air offer, from <strong>22 stations <\/strong>Aix-en-Provence TGV, Angers Saint-Laud, Arras, Avignon TGV, Bordeaux Saint-Jean, Champagne-Ardenne TGV, Le Mans, Laval, Lille Europe, Lille Flandres, Lorraine TGV, Lyon Part-Dieu, Marseille Saint-Charles, Montpellier Saint-Roch, Nantes, N\u00eemes, Perpignan, Poitiers, Rennes, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Strasbourg and Valence TGV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-dessertes-tgv-sellette-20240124.html\/\" data-id=\"166807\">SNCF is considering optimising its TGV network<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-united-airlines-lufthansa-et-deutsche-bahn-sur-la-meme-voie\">United Airlines, Lufthansa and Deutsche Bahn on the same track<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"579\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/db-star.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-162915\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/db-star.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/db-star-300x193-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/db-star-768x494-derived.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Coincidentally, another merger between the<strong>air <\/strong>and the <strong>rail <\/strong>took place shortly before this announcement by<strong>Air France <\/strong>and <strong>SNCF<\/strong>. This time, it's on the<strong>transatlantic axis <\/strong>an intermodal rapprochement is taking place. A new commercial cooperation agreement came into force on <strong>22 November<\/strong> between <strong>United Airlines, Lufthansa Group and Deutsche Bahn<\/strong>. This adds a new dimension to the merger between Deutsche Bahn and <strong>Star Alliance<\/strong>effective from 1 August 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/integration-db-star-alliance-20220706.html\/\" data-id=\"127465\">Details of DB's integration into Star Alliance<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers of <strong>United <\/strong>who travel between the<strong>Germany <\/strong>and <strong>United States <\/strong>via <strong>Frankfurt <\/strong>can book their combined air and rail travel in a single transaction, via a single ticket, at a single combined fare. Mileage accumulation is also covered by the partnership. In total, <strong>25 destinations<\/strong> in Germany, to which should be added <strong>Basel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>This new collaboration will offer our customers even greater travel choice and flexibility, allowing them to make convenient connections between 25 cities in Germany and the United States with just one convenient connection at Frankfurt airport, all on a single ticket. <\/em>\"says Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President Global Network Planning and Alliances at United Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Star Alliance, Renato Ramos, Vice President Corporate Strategy, said: \" <em>Initiatives of this type promote a <strong>greater collaboration between modes of transport<\/strong>This allows customers to benefit from greater convenience and flexibility. <strong>flexibility<\/strong>.
