{"id":162927,"date":"2023-11-27T03:56:27","date_gmt":"2023-11-27T02:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=162927"},"modified":"2023-11-27T11:24:21","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T10:24:21","slug":"china-without-a-french-visa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/china-without-a-french-visa","title":{"rendered":"China visa-free for French nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Five countries <\/strong>have been selected by the <strong>Chinese government <\/strong>for a period of<strong>one year <\/strong>a <strong>visa-free entry into China<\/strong>This procedure is generally complicated because of the number of documents required, particularly for business travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The citizens of <strong><strong>France<\/strong><\/strong>, <strong>Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-ambassadeur-malaisie-france-20231103.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Malaysia <\/a>can travel to the country without a visa.<\/strong>. The conditions for obtaining the licence are limited to <strong>a stay not exceeding 15 days<\/strong> and for business, tourism, family visits and transit purposes. <strong>A return air ticket and a place to stay must be presented on arrival in China.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The measure announced on 24 November will take effect from 1 December 2023.<\/strong> and will be <strong>valid until 30 November 2024<\/strong>. It is, however, temporary, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing. It follows a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/la-chine-entree-20230314.html\/\">a series of measures taken since spring 2023<\/a> to simplify the formalities for entering the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the <strong>China has extended its visa-free transit policy<\/strong> to Norwegian citizens for <strong>a stay of 72 or 144 hours<\/strong> (depending on destination). Nationals of 54 countries are exempt from visa requirements for a transit period of 72 or 144 hours when travelling to a third country.
