Paris Ile-de-France...<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<p>This is the question that regularly stirs up the political and media spheres when we talk about <strong>Paris<\/strong> and the<strong>Ile-de-France<\/strong> How do residents, tourists and business travellers get around the capital, and for what level of comfort? <strong>satisfaction<\/strong>and with what margin of <strong>progress<\/strong> ? As the <strong>Paris 2024 Olympic Games<\/strong>With the influx of international tourists generated by the event, the issue is more sensitive than ever. \" <em>For tourists, accessibility to a region and mobility within it are major factors in its appeal. As one of the world's most prestigious tourist destinations, Paris Ile-de-France has a duty to offer its visitors first-class mobility solutions.<\/em> \"The people in charge of the <strong>CCI Paris Ile-de-France <\/strong>as a preamble to a new study published in conjunction with the attractiveness agency <strong>Choose Paris Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This report, published on <strong>6 December<\/strong> could prove reassuring for some observers, with figures to back it up. Indeed, the <strong>satisfaction rate<\/strong> of visitors to the Ile-de-France region <strong>84,6%<\/strong> for <strong>mobility conditions<\/strong> between 2014 and 2022. The figure falls to <strong>79,8 %<\/strong> for the only <strong>public transport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another finding of the study is that all routes lead to the capital, in roughly equivalent proportions. In fact, while in 2022 air travel would be the main means of transport to Paris Ile-de-France (34.61%), road (33.6%) and rail (31.8%) would reach comparable levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/choose-paris.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-163731\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/choose-paris.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/choose-paris-300x198-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>transport from the airport is a key factor in assessing the quality of their mobility during their stay<\/p><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the continuing growth of rail, the leadership of air transport means that the <strong>connectivity of Paris airports <\/strong>a central issue. \" <em>For tourists who have chosen to travel by air, transport from the airport is a key factor in assessing the quality of their mobility during their stay.<\/em> \"admit the authors of the report. They therefore looked at the solutions offered in other business hubs for getting to the city centre from the airport. Starting with the Piccadilly line, which links Heathrow to <strong>London <\/strong>in 45 minutes, supplemented by the Heathrow Express (15 minutes to Paddington station) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/elizabeth-line-heathrow-novembre-20220826.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Elizabeth line<\/a>. The authors of the study also point to examples of <strong>Rome <\/strong>(30-35 minutes between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-rail-aeroport-fiumicino-20220719.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fiumicino <\/a>and Termini station) or <strong>Stockholm <\/strong>(20-minute journey with the Arlanda Express from the central station). For destinations further afield, the city centre of <strong>Tokyo <\/strong>is linked to Narita airport by the Narita Express (53 minutes) and the Skyliner (36 minutes to Nippori station). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How, then, are we to judge the connectivity of Paris Region airports, limited solely to the <strong>RER line B <\/strong>? In the light of travellers' choices, Paris can do better. In 2017, fewer<strong>one passenger in four<\/strong> (23 %) took the <strong>RER between Roissy and Paris<\/strong>compared with 32 % for <strong>taxis and VTCs<\/strong>. Nevertheless, things are set to change considerably in the near future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/gare-orly-tgv-retour-20230110.html\/\" data-id=\"139885\">Orly TGV station project back on the tarmac<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The authors of the report obviously point out <strong>Paris 2024 <\/strong>as \" <em>an opportunity to launch innovative solutions <\/em>\"In June, line 14 (14 km) will be extended to serve seven new stations, linking Olympiades to the Paris-Charles de Gaulle railway station.<strong>Orly airport <\/strong>in 16 minutes. But it is also and above all the <strong>CDG Express <\/strong>which is preparing to overhaul the mobility offer between the capital and its main airport. The airport <strong>Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle <\/strong>from the beginning of <strong>2027 <\/strong>in 20 minutes via this direct link between Paris-Est station and terminal 2 of the Paris hub. The latter will then be served by <strong>2030 <\/strong>by the new <strong>line 17 <\/strong>of the Grand Paris Express. Paris-CDG could also be linked to La D\u00e9fense, with Val\u00e9rie P\u00e9cresse advocating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/ligne-19-la-defense-et-paris-cdg-20231123.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a <strong>line 19 of the Grand Paris Express<\/strong> between Nanterre and Gonesse<\/a>...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/ligne-14-tarification-dorly-20231128.html\/\" data-id=\"163155\">Line 14: fares set at \u20ac11.50 to Orly airport<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"496\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/grand-paris-express.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-163735\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/grand-paris-express.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/grand-paris-express-300x213-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/grand-paris-express-100x70-derived.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-offre-d-hebergements-elle-aussi-impactee\">Accommodation also affected<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The impact of the Grand Paris Express will go beyond the simple framework of connectivity between CDG and Orly. The study by the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry points to a probable - and indeed already initiated - change in the<strong>accommodation in the Paris Region<\/strong>. \" <em>The reduction in journey times could reinforce the trend for tourist accommodation to be relocated to the outskirts. <\/em>\"warn the authors of the report. \" <em>There is a growing hotel offer in the inner and outer suburbs, but it is the boom in private rental accommodation that is increasingly attracting these areas.
