This is the trend that emerges from the report <strong>Air Monitor 2024 <\/strong>published on Monday by <strong>American Express GBT <\/strong>: \" <em>In all regions, fluctuations in air fares reveal mixed trends, with a general outlook of increased price stability in 2024 <\/em>\"sums up the authors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Among the forecasts unveiled by TMC, French companies will note in particular the slight increase in flights in Europe: +1.1% in business class, and 1% in economy class...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\">\r\n<p>After a 2023 marked by both the gradual return of business travel and widespread inflation, the year <strong>2024 <\/strong>could be that of <strong>stabilisation<\/strong>. This is the trend that emerges from the report <strong>Air Monitor 2024 <\/strong>published on Monday by <strong>American Express GBT <\/strong>: \" <em>In all regions, fluctuations in air fares reveal mixed trends, with a general outlook of increased price stability in 2024 <\/em>\"sums up the authors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Among the forecasts unveiled by TMC, French companies will note in particular the slight increase in flights in Europe: +1.1% in business class, and 1% in economy class. The scene of XXL competition, the<strong>transatlantic axis <\/strong>will see fares fall, particularly on Economy (-2.5%). And the trend will be even more marked on flights between France and Germany.<strong>Europe<\/strong> and the<strong>Asia<\/strong> and a fortiori the<strong>South America<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"581\" class=\"wp-image-163995\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amex-monitor.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amex-monitor.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/amex-monitor-300x249-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Does this lull in fares - relative though it may be depending on the region - set the tone for simplified management of business travel? Not really, if Amex GBT is to be believed... Because at a time of <strong>negotiate <\/strong>with the airlines, companies should expect to have less room for manoeuvre than ever before. Carriers, for their part, have perhaps never had as much latitude as they do today to steer their pricing policy in a fine-tuned and dynamic way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\">\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>In 2024, the adoption of New Distribution Capacity (NDC) could have an impact on business travel programmes, as airline pricing strategies evolve and become increasingly dynamic.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<\/aside>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\" <em>Discounts negotiated by companies are likely to come under pressure as airlines continue to give priority to yield management. <\/em>\"warn the authors of the report <strong>Air Monitor<\/strong>. \" <em>In 2024, the adoption of the new distribution capacity (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/ndc-business-travel-show-20190208.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NDC<\/a><\/strong>) could have an impact on business travel programmes, as airline pricing strategies evolve and become increasingly dynamic. <\/em>\".<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Dan Beauchamp, Head of Consulting at Amex GBT, gives his analysis of the report: \" <em>If the <strong>rate increases expected to slow<\/strong> is good news for our customers, the search for suppliers for business travel programmes remains a major challenge. <strong>difficult exercise<\/strong>. We're helping our clients deploy more thoughtful strategies to cope with change and create value for their business.
