This new train <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/chemins-de-fer-autrichiens-trains-de-nuit-20220907.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nightjet <\/a><\/strong>operated by Austrian Railways (\u00d6BB) in partnership with the <strong>SNCF<\/strong>the <strong>Deutsche Bahn <\/strong>(DB) and Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 nationale des chemins de fer belges (<strong>SNCB<\/strong>) had left the German capital the day before at 8.18pm with Cl\u00e9ment Beaune, the French Transport Minister, Christophe Fanichet, CEO of SNCF Voyageurs and Alain Krakovitch, Director of TGV-Intercit\u00e9s, on board for the French representation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/obb-paris-berlin-vienne-20231020.html\/\" data-id=\"160403\">\u00d6BB: daily service from Paris to Berlin and Vienna in 2024<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>It's a busy week for <strong>revival of night trains in France <\/strong>with the launch of the Paris-Aurillac service on 10 December and now the Berlin-Paris service<\/em>said a delighted Cl\u00e9ment Beaune. <em>In just a few years, we have gone from 2 to 6 national lines departing from Paris. This is an important project in our ecological transition policy, for which the government has mobilised a budget of \u20ac100m to renovate trains and relaunch routes by offering affordable prices.<\/em>\" . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/train-de-nuit-la-sncf-pyreneen-20230601.html\/\" data-id=\"149807\">Night trains: SNCF looks further ahead on the Pyrenees route<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to offer attractive fares, each country has given its own little helping hand, with Germany, for example, reducing the cost of tolls and Belgium reimbursing the cost of tolls on its branch. And breakfast is included as a bonus. So you can arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to go. \"\u00a0<em>This makes the night train a good alternative to flying, while avoiding the cost of a night in a hotel.<\/em>\" added Cl\u00e9ment Beaune. \"\u00a0<em>and <strong>carbon emissions <\/strong>much lower than air travel and car travel<\/em>\u00a0\"he concluded, announcing other route openings. The government is committed to <strong>ten night train lines operational by 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No orders for night trains in France before 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/train-de-nuit.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-164139\" width=\"310\" height=\"403\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/train-de-nuit.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/train-de-nuit-231x300-derived.jpeg 231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 310px) 100vw, 310px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>We will continue to open routes in France and Europe<\/em>confirmed Jean-Pierre Farandou, SNCF CEO. <em>In France, this is helping to revive services to areas that have been somewhat forgotten.<\/em>\" . All that remains is to meet the challenge of providing the rolling stock, as the SNCF currently only has 120 renovated trains. The Paris-Berlin service has been made possible by the large number of train sets available to \u00d6BB, which began introducing night trains in Europe in 2016. \"\u00a0<em>This mode of transport is very popular because of environmental concerns. Customers are booking months in advance. We are going to continue to invest, ordering 33 new night trains to double the number of passengers carried by 2030 to 3.5 million.<\/em>\" said Dr Sabine Stock, a member of \u00d6BB's Board of Directors. In fact, France is unlikely to catch up immediately, with Cl\u00e9ment Beaune suggesting that an order for night trains will only be placed in early 2025. \"\u00a0<em>We will then be able to envisage not just radial lines from Paris, but cross-country lines between the east and west of France.<\/em>\" said the Transport Minister. In the meantime, other lines should see the light of day in Europe thanks to the partnership developed between SNCF, \u00d6BB, DB and SNCB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-amandine-thomas-commin-sncf-20240105.html\/\" data-id=\"164925\">\"The relaunch of the night train is already a commercial success\": A. Thomas-Commin (SNCF Group)<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-offre-de-voyage-multiple-sur-le-paris-berlin\">A wide range of travel options on the Paris-Berlin route<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The new line <strong>Nightjet Paris-Berlin <\/strong>serves the stations of <strong>Strasbourg, Frankfurt am Main, Erfurt and Halle<\/strong>. <strong>Three round trips <\/strong>are offered every week with departures from Paris on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and from Berlin on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The French part of the train comprises <strong>312 seats <\/strong>with 2 seat cars available from \u20ac29.90 (6 private seats from \u20ac224.90), 2 sleeper cars (4 or 6 seats per compartment) from \u20ac59.90 and 2 bed cars from \u20ac94.90. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike French night trains, there are showers at the ends of the couchette carriages. The sleeping cars are divided into Single, Double or Triple compartments with a washbasin area (and the shower in the corridor as for the couchettes) and above all Comfort Plus compartments for one or two passengers with a washbasin, WC and shower with shower gel and towels. The latter range also includes bed preparation, a wake-up service and breakfast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit <strong>technology<\/strong>In addition to USB sockets, passengers will also find adjustable ambient lighting, a communication screen and the ability to lock their compartment using an NFC card.
