{"id":164603,"date":"2023-12-26T11:17:03","date_gmt":"2023-12-26T10:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=164603"},"modified":"2025-10-23T15:11:57","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T13:11:57","slug":"air-algerie-madrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-algerie-madrid","title":{"rendered":"Air Alg\u00e9rie returns to Madrid in January 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The improvement in diplomatic relations is having a positive effect on the airline industry: the national airline <strong>Air Alg\u00e9rie <\/strong>has just announced the <strong>resumption of flights on <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/madrid-azca-castellana-20171204.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Madrid<\/strong><\/a> following the re-establishment of relations between Algeria and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algeria decided to suspend relations following the Spanish Prime Minister's support for the autonomy plan for the Western Sahara announced by Moroccan King Mohammed VI in early 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From 2 January, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-algerie-nouvelles-destinations-afrique-20231017.html\/\">Air Alg\u00e9rie<\/a> will inaugurate the Algiers-Madrid route with two flights a week using Boeing 737-700 or 737-800 aircraft.<\/strong>. This line will complement the<strong>Iberia<\/strong>. The Spanish company also offers <strong>two weekly flights by A320<\/strong>. However, the number of flights could soon return to pre-Covid levels. The two carriers operate 12 flights a week on the Madrid-Alger route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What's more, <strong>Air Alg\u00e9rie and Vueling <\/strong>will also be increasing their frequencies on the <strong>Barcelona-Alger <\/strong>in January. Air Alg\u00e9rie is set to increase its daily frequency from 4 flights a week. While Vueling will be adding an extra frequency, increasing to four weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What's more, <strong>Air Alg\u00e9rie <\/strong>inaugurated the <strong>21 December <\/strong>flights to <strong>Damascus (Syria)<\/strong>. The Algerian carrier currently operates a weekly frequency via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/beyrouth-renaissance-business-20180416.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beirut<\/a>.
