The new Literary Hotel<\/strong> expected this year at Nancy <\/strong>Will it have the same subjugating effect on travellers that Florence had on Stendhal, who became dizzy contemplating the frescoes in the Basilica of Santa Croce? Few, no doubt, will suffer from such a syndrome. But one thing is certain, and that is to see them. immersed in the work of this author<\/strong> to whom the hotel is dedicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the cultural concept of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des H\u00f4tels Litt\u00e9raires, the hotel invites guests to enjoy an immersive stay in its 41 rooms, different aspects of Stendhal's life and work<\/strong> will be illustrated. Original watercolours by Jean Aubertin will be used to personalise each of the rooms, as well as a collection of works in all the languages in his library and a theme chosen for each of the three floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first page, the life of Henri Beyle, his youth in Grenoble and Paris and his autobiographical writings; on the second, a country dear to the heart of this great traveller, Italy<\/strong>around the heroes of his Italian chronicles<\/em>On the second floor, the rooms are dedicated to his novels, travelogues and books on Italian music and painting. Finally, on the third and top floor, the rooms are dedicated to Fabrice del Dongo, Mathilde de La M\u00f4le, Julien Sorel and Lucien Leuwen, the great heroes of his novels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
