This is a must-visit address in the MICE<\/strong> at South Brittany<\/strong> which has been enjoying a wonderful renaissance in recent weeks. Visit Domaine de Locgu\u00e9nol\u00e9 & Spa<\/strong>\u00a0has just reopened its doors after three years of work <\/strong>and a 30M investment<\/strong> by Breton group Beautiful Life Hotels, which acquired the ch\u00e2teau in 2020 from the de la Tour Maubourg family, who had owned it since it was built in 1800<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in Morbihan, 20 minutes from Lorient, the estate overlooking the banks of the Blavet is now home to 44 rooms and suites and 3 atypical flats<\/strong>. Ranging in size from 23 to 57 m\u00b2, thirteen of the rooms are located in the ch\u00e2teau, decorated in a spirit of curiosity that pays homage to the Compagnie des Indes. Twenty-five rooms, ranging in size from 16 to 60 m\u00b2, are located in the elegant manor <\/strong>with views over the river, the park or the ch\u00e2teau. Eleven (from 20 to 37 m\u00b2) have been fitted out in the former stables of the estate, renamed The Club<\/strong>The rooms are decorated in a more contemporary style, highlighting the equestrian world. Guests have direct access to the spa on the ground floor of this stone building, with 6 treatment rooms, hammam, sauna and an indoor swimming pool heated all year round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three atypical homes complete the range of accommodation on offer, including Villa B\u00e9lem, a luxury g\u00eete<\/strong> with 3 bedrooms created in the former caretaker's cottage, Le Coucou, whose 3 bucolic suites are nestled in the ch\u00e2teau's former chicken coop, and the Caprice<\/strong>a sailing boat<\/strong> dating from the 1930s, converted into a marine suite. \"\u00a0The entire estate can be made private for events involving more than 50 people, i.e. our accommodation capacity in single rooms but 100 people in double rooms.<\/em>\" says Johan Dubourdieu, Director of BL Hotels' Morbihan Division. Six areas dedicated to corporate events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A favourite venue for private and corporate events for decades, the Domaine de Locgu\u00e9nol\u00e9 has taken advantage of the renovation work to refurbish its seminar and reception areas<\/strong>. These consist of four fully-equipped meeting rooms (wifi, video projector, etc.) ranging from 25 to 97 m\u00b2 (14 to 130 people for conferences) and the duo formed by theOrangery<\/strong> and its veranda (250 to 300 people for conferences, 150 to 240 guests for gala dinners, and 250 to 320 guests for cocktails). \"\u00a0The advantage of our premises lies in the fact that we can accommodate both small groups of 10 to 12 people, for example for a Codir meeting, which will have the warm spaces required for this type of meeting, and larger groups, with an average of around 80 participants. La restoration <\/strong>is another strong point of Domaine de Locgu\u00e9nol\u00e9, with Yann Maget, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, who trained with chefs Yannick All\u00e9no and Pierre Gagnaire, in charge of menus for receptions and business meals (with tasting menus at \u20ac59, \u20ac79 and \u20ac109\/pers.), and above all at the helm of the bistro restaurant La Maison Alyette<\/strong> and gastronomic table<\/strong> The unexpected<\/strong>. The first can seat 50 people in 2 rooms (with 30 and 20 seats, each of which can be made private), while the second can seat around 30 people, although its largest table seats only 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
