In its recent presentation of annual results, the ADP group indicated that it was approaching its 2019 traffic level in Paris and exceeding it at its airports outside France.<\/p>\n

The Group therefore expects to progressively return to growth rates close to those seen before the Covid-19 crisis<\/strong>. For Augustin de Romanet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer<\/strong>, \"\u00a0The ADP Group had a very good year in 2023, with more than 336 million passengers handled across our network of airports, including almost 100 million at Paris Airport<\/strong><\/em>\"\u00a0.<\/em>\"\"<\/a>Paradigm shift in traffic growth<\/p>\n

According to ADP management, the traffic assumptions for Paris show annual growth of +3.5 % to +5.0 % in 2024 and +2.5 % to +4.0 % in 2025<\/strong>. The Group is expected to achieve annual growth of more than +8.0 % in 2024.<\/p>\n

Taking decarbonisation objectives into account, ADP anticipates a gradual normalisation of passenger traffic in Paris<\/strong>. Le<\/strong> average annual growth rate<\/strong> would be 1% to 1.5 % per year<\/strong> over the period 2024-2050. It would therefore be slightly lower than before the pandemic.<\/p>\n

But the added value of the passenger would be higher<\/strong>, traffic is becoming increasingly international, particularly intercontinental<\/strong>. ADP expects the more rational use of aircraft - in particular the use of other means of transport for short and medium-haul journeys - to contribute to a natural decline in the share of short and medium-haul flights in favour of international flights (outside Europe).\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

2024, an exceptional year<\/h4>\n

According to Augustin de Romanet, 2024 will be an exceptional year. \"\u00a02024 will be a historic year for all ADP Group employees. We will be celebrating 50 years of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport in March, inaugurating the arrival of line 14 to Paris-Orly airport<\/a> in June, as well as the renovated commercial area of Terminal 2A-C<\/strong>. Above all n<\/em>e will be opening the door to the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer. Our airports will be the first and last image of our country: we will live up to our responsibility. <\/em>he said. <\/em><\/p>\n

However, the Group expects neutral effect of the Olympic Games on passenger traffic volumes<\/strong> in Paris in 2024. In fact, the increase linked to sporting events could result in a drop in other traffic, as some foreign visitors may choose to postpone their visit to the capital.<\/p>\n

On the bad news side for passengers, ADP has announced an increase in fees <\/strong>by +4.5 % on average<\/strong>. It will partly compensate the introduction of the new tax applicable to major transport infrastructure in France<\/strong><\/a>. Tax, which the government decided to introduce last year for the 2024 budget. The increase in fees should therefore be reflected in ticket prices.<\/p>\n

Orly, a sustainable airport<\/h4>\n

Finally, at the end of February, ADP will submit to the public its \"Paris-Orly 2035\" development project<\/strong>. Its aim is to meet the demand for air transport while ensuring the long-term viability of the sector. transforming the hub into a low-carbon, responsible airport<\/strong>. The project is based on annual growth of less than 1% between 2023 and 2035. It has several objectives.<\/p>\n

- The decarbonising and decongesting access routes<\/strong> to the airport hub with a priority given to public transport<\/strong> and \"soft\" mobility.<\/p>\n

- The development of low-carbon energy production<\/strong> by creating an \"energy hub\". It will enhance Orly's biodiversity.<\/p>\n

- L'improving service quality<\/strong> offered to passengers and airlines. It provides for a better dimensioning of the boarding area and a more efficient airside system, without creating additional aircraft positions.<\/p>\n
