Against a backdrop of sustained demand, Air France is continuing to expand its global network and is preparing to welcome the whole world for the Paris Olympic Games. On long-haul routes, the airline will offer 85 destinations,<\/strong> with capacity up 9 %. North America is in the spotlight with an increase in service. On 13 May, Air France will resume services to Minneapolis<\/strong>with one daily flight. On 23 May, the airline will also inaugurate a service between Paris-CDG and Phoenix<\/strong>operated three times a week by Boeing 787-9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air France will also be extending services to Raleigh-Durham<\/strong>from 3 to 7 weekly flights. The airline will also be offering <\/strong>two special flights between Los Angeles and Nice - using Airbus A350s - during the Cannes Film Festival. All in all, this summer the airline will be offering more than 210 flights a week to 17 destinations in the United States and almost 60 flights a week to 5 destinations in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still on long-haul routes, Air France to extend daily service to Abu Dhabi this summer<\/strong> from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. In Africa, the airline will continue to serve Dar Es Salam (Tanzania)<\/strong> via Zanzibar, with 3 flights a week. Air France is also adding frequencies on Cotonou (Benin) and Antananarivo (Madagascar)<\/strong>which will be served daily. Two daily flights will be offered to Cameroon, divided between Yaound\u00e9 and Douala<\/strong>. Finally, flights to Brazzaville<\/strong> will now be operated by Airbus A350-900. Finally, in Asia, Air France is stepping up its services to Japan, with two daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Haneda<\/strong>Tokyo-Narita airport is served by up to 4 flights a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On short and medium-haul routes, Air France will serve 102 destinations<\/strong>including 45 seasonal routes. Three new routes will be launched from April. First of all Verona, with up to 3 flights a week from 2 April. Narvik in Norway will be served by a flight every Saturday from 15 June to 31 August. Also in Norway, the service to Troms\u00f8, until now operated only in winter, will be extended to the summer season with 2 flights a week operated by Airbus A319. Further south, Kalamata in Greece will be served every Saturday from 6 July to 31 August. Transavia France, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group, will be offering flights to 116 destinations in 33 countries via 206 routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Air France will be pursuing the deployment of new travel cabins on the Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-900<\/strong>. This new product, available in Business, Premium Economy and Economy, represents the airline's new standard of comfort. The new cabins will be available from this summer on flights to Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Papeete, Mexico City and Tokyo-Narita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
