On average,<strong> the waiting time for a foreign traveller arriving in Japan is around one hour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A programme to speed up formalities<\/strong> has been set up with an initial full-scale test carried out on <strong>Tokyo Haneda airport<\/strong>with the testing until the end of March of new electronic terminals that analyse <strong>in one minute <\/strong>all the information you need about immigration and customs formalities. The platform, <strong>where the majority of flights from Paris CDG land<\/strong>with 13 weekly frequencies from Air France, 7 frequencies from Japan Airlines and 3 flights a week from All Nippon Airways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To take advantage of this innovation, passengers must first enter all the necessary information on <strong>a specific site <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/services.digital.go.jp\/en\/visit-japan-web\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>https:\/\/services.digital.go.jp\/en\/visit-japan-web<\/strong>\/<\/a>. You need to register on this site in English to use the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the information such as the passport number and the declaration of any taxable items has been completed, <strong>a QR code is issued<\/strong>. Travellers will use it at a dedicated terminal on arrival in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the test at Haneda airport is successful, <strong>the system will be permanently installed in Haneda<\/strong>. <strong>It will also begin to be deployed at Osaka-Kansai and Tokyo-Narita airports this year.<\/strong>. Other international airports such as Fukuoka, Nagoya-Chubu, Okinawa and Sapporo-Chitose will also be equipped by 2025.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to Nikkei Asia magazine, Japan is working to reduce the time spent by travellers entering the country to one minute.
