The airport is expecting traffic of <strong>30 million passengers<\/strong> This year, several airlines are increasing their routes with the introduction of summer schedules.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ppmodule_textblock pp_moduleblock\">\n<div class=\"text_companyprofile\">\n<div class=\"pp-overflow-hidden pp-min-width-5\">\n<p>All in all, <strong>62 airlines to link Swiss airport to 200 destinations by summer 2024<\/strong>. Let <strong>nine more destinations than during the 2023 summer season<\/strong>. The largest number of new routes remains the preserve of Swiss and its leisure flight subsidiary Edelweiss.<\/p>\n<p>As previously announced, the most important new feature of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/swiss-premiers-vols-seoul-20240205.html\/\"><strong>Swiss is due to arrive in Seoul on 7 May<\/strong><\/a>. The Swiss national carrier will offer<strong> three weekly frequencies<\/strong>. <strong>Swiss is also strengthening its services to North America. It has been connecting Zurich to Washington since 28 March and will be landing in Toronto from 10 May.<\/strong>.<strong> Toronto<\/strong> is served five times a week in summer, while<strong> Washington<\/strong> has one daily flight in summer and five weekly flights in winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delta Air Lines also resumes service to Atlanta<\/strong>. <strong>Edelweiss<\/strong>will now provide daily services to <strong>Vancouver<\/strong> during the summer months. The leisure carrier will also be offering <strong>more frequencies to Calgary, Tampa and Denver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In Asia, in addition to the Zurich-Seoul route, <strong>Swiss strengthens its services to China<\/strong>. The company returns to <strong>a daily flight to Shanghai<\/strong> and Hong Kong. On its side, <strong>Cathay Pacific increases weekly flights to four<\/strong> with the summer timetable. <strong>Edelweiss<\/strong> also offers more frequencies to <strong>Muscat (Oman) and Phuket (Thailand)<\/strong>. The company is also extending its summer <strong>its seasonal service to Bogota and Cartagena in Colombia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Other important news: <strong>Tunisair's return to Zurich<\/strong> after a three-year hiatus. The Tunisian carrier will connect Tunis twice a week and Djerba once a week.<\/p>\n<p>The Mediterranean remains very popular. <strong>Edelweiss<\/strong> increases its frequencies towards <strong>the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, mainland Spain and Greece<\/strong>. Swiss is not to be outdone, with more flights to <strong>Alicante <\/strong>and<strong> Madrid<\/strong> during the summer timetable. Since the end of March, <strong>easyJet also serves Alicante with two weekly flights<\/strong>. While<strong>Aegean<\/strong> moves to <strong>11 flights a week to Athens<\/strong>. And that the Italian company <strong>ITA Airways<\/strong> increases the frequency of the<strong> Rome-Zurich route to two daily flights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Services to Northern Europe are also being strengthened. <strong>Scandinavian Airlines serves Oslo up to three times a day<\/strong> in summer. <strong>Edelweiss<\/strong> is offering a weekly scheduled flight for the first time <strong>to the Norwegian islands of Lofoten<\/strong>to Evenes. It is also increasing its frequencies to<strong> Troms\u00f8 and Keflavik<\/strong>and is strengthening its position in the United Kingdom on <strong>Edinburgh and Newquay<\/strong> (Cornwall). <strong>Swiss launches a daily flight to London-Gatwick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Towards Central and Eastern Europe, <strong>Zurich-Berlin benefits from more Easyjet flights (8 flights\/week)<\/strong> while<strong>Eurowings launches eleven flights a week<\/strong> between the two towns. <strong>Swiss<\/strong> starts three flights a week on <strong>Ko\u0161ice in Slovakia<\/strong>. Just like <strong>Cluj-Napoca<\/strong>in Romania, will also be <strong>served for the first time by Swiss<\/strong> with three flights a week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Switzerland's largest airport and Swiss's main hub is offering flights to 200 destinations this summer season.
