Track renovation work will be required on two main routes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 id=\"h-paris-lausanne\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paris-Lausanne<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The first concerns <strong>the Paris-Lausanne route via Geneva<\/strong>. This mainly involves renewing the tracks, while work is continuing at Lausanne station to overhaul the platforms. <strong>Between the<\/strong> <strong>From 29 June to 18 August 2024, Lyria services to Lausanne via Geneva will have Geneva Cornavin as their departure or terminus station.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In addition, the Paris-Lausanne train 9269 departing at 11:56 will not be running from Monday to Friday, from 13 to 25 August. As will train 9268, departing at 12:23pm in the Lausanne-Paris direction on the same dates.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 id=\"h-paris-zurich\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paris-Zurich<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Lyria trains to Zurich will also have to adapt to a period of works<\/strong>. They are due to run for over a month, from 7 July to 11 August. During this period, all trains bound for Zurich will stop in Basel, where connections will be made.<strong> However, only one direct train will remain during this period<\/strong> Train 9206 leaves Zurich at 6.59am and arrives in Paris at 11.38am. From Paris, train 9223 remains. It leaves Paris at 6.22pm and arrives in Zurich at 11.00pm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>More bad news: <strong>passengers taking connecting trains from Geneva to Lausanne and from Basel to Zurich will have to buy a separate SBB ticket for these two routes<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It should also be noted that <strong>work around Dijon on the high-speed line<\/strong> are forcing SNCF to <strong>cancelling two of the 6 daily round trips between Paris and Basel<\/strong> from 13 August to 13 December 2024.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work being carried out on Switzerland's rail network will result in the cancellation of several Lyria train services this summer.
