{"id":173435,"date":"2024-05-02T10:32:43","date_gmt":"2024-05-02T08:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=173435"},"modified":"2024-05-02T11:54:31","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T09:54:31","slug":"american-airlines-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/american-airlines-europe","title":{"rendered":"Boeing shortage forces American Airlines to turn up the screws in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Difficulties in delivering new aircraft<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/troubles-boeing-pratt-whitney-20240319.html\/\"> Boeing<\/a> - in particular the B787 Dreamliner - is dragging on. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/american-airlines-confort-20240418.html\/\">American Airlines<\/a> is to receive only three new Dreamliners this year instead of the six originally planned. The airline is therefore officially justifying its decision to reduce its European flight schedule on the grounds of these delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the flights that will be cancelled this winter include <strong>the suspension of the Paris CDG-Chicago flight from 3 September<\/strong>. The flight will not resume until the 2025 summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the same date, the New York-JFK routes to Athens and Barcelona will be cancelled. The airline is also suspending its Dublin and Rome-Fiumicino routes to Dallas-Fort Worth for the winter season (from 26 October). It is also reducing its Rome-New York-JFK route to a single daily flight from 5 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>American specifies that it will continue to operate <strong>55 long-haul routes<\/strong> to intercontinental routes this winter.
