{"id":174553,"date":"2024-05-21T08:57:12","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T06:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=174553"},"modified":"2024-05-21T08:57:13","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T06:57:13","slug":"toulouse-intercites-tgv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/toulouse-intercites-tgv","title":{"rendered":"Toulouse-Paris: new Intercit\u00e9s in 2027, TGV in 2032"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Faced with repeated delays and the age of the Corail trains running on the Paris-Clermont-Ferrand and Paris-Limoges-Toulouse lines, the French government has decided to invest \u20ac800m in an order for 28 trains, called \"Oxyg\u00e8ne\", from the manufacturer CAF, based in Bagn\u00e8res-de-Bigorre (Hautes-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es). Scheduled for delivery in 2026, the trains have been <strong>delayed by one year<\/strong> due to problems with braking and the traction motor during the ongoing tests in the Czech Republic. As with the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tgv-m-blanc-revolutionnaire-20240430.html\/\"> Alstom's TGV M<\/a>. A new series of tests will have to validate the train's safety features before it is fitted with its interior fittings in France. Passengers will have to be patient for a while longer, as commercial service of the trains is scheduled to begin in the course of 1 January.<sup>er<\/sup> quarter 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-des-trains-plus-confortables-et-capacitaires\">More comfortable trains with greater capacity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The trains will travel at speeds of up to 200 km\/h and carry 420 passengers - 20 more than today - with 317 seats in second class and 103 in first class. Above all, SNCF promises <strong>a leap forward in on-board comfort<\/strong> compared with the Corail, with a silent train and an ergonomic seat equipped with a footrest, reading light, tablet and USB socket. Not to mention Wi-Fi in both classes of travel. In addition to screens displaying passenger information, the trains will also offer a catering area and ten spaces for bicycles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, to ensure optimum rail service, infrastructure work on the tracks will be financed by the State and SNCF R\u00e9seaux, to the tune of one billion euros on the Paris-Clermont line and two billion on the Paris-Limoges-Toulouse route. Finally, investment is planned to adapt maintenance workshops to the future Oxyg\u00e8ne trains at Paris-Austerlitz, Clermont-Ferrand and Brive-la-Gaillarde. A second order from CAF could be placed this year to equip the Bordeaux-Marseille line one day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-toulouse-a-3h-de-paris-en-2032\">Toulouse 3 hours from Paris in 2032<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On 7 May last, representatives of the State, SNCF R\u00e9seaux and the contributing local authorities (Occitanie region, Haute-Garonne d\u00e9partement and Toulouse M\u00e9tropole) laid the foundations for the project.<strong> the first stone<\/strong> the Bordeaux-Toulouse high-speed line (LGV), which will link the two cities in 1 hour 05 minutes. This will put the Ville Rose 3 hours 10 minutes from the capital. Entry into service is scheduled for 2032, at a cost of over \u20ac6.6 billion. TGV stations will be built in Agen and Montauban. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"559\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/carte-gpso.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-174559\" style=\"width:283px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/carte-gpso.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/carte-gpso-300x240-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Over the past few months, several houses purchased by SNCF R\u00e9seaux have already been demolished north of Toulouse and south of Bordeaux to make way for the future LGV tracks. In both cities, these rail works will also contribute to the networks of regional metropolitan express services that the French government wants to develop in around ten major cities in the provinces. A second branch of the LGV is eventually planned, running to Dax - via Mont-de-Marsan - before reaching the border and connecting to the Spanish network.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tgv-paris-toulouse-2030-20220222.html\/\" data-id=\"121473\">TGV: Paris-Toulouse in 3 hours by 2030<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The French government has ordered 28 Intercit\u00e9s trains to improve rail services on the Paris-Clermont and Paris-Limoges-Toulouse routes by 2027.
