Among its many projects on the African continent, the Radisson group is preparing to take a leading role in the Tunisian business hotel sector. First of all, at the beginning of July, with the opening of the Radisson Tunis City Center, with almost 100 rooms and a 250 m\u00b2 meeting space comprising three rooms. But more than that, the group has acquired the largest MICE hotel in the Tunisian capital<\/strong>This is the city's largest conference centre, with numerous meeting and conference rooms, an executive lounge and a business centre. The largest in the city, in fact, with its many meeting and conference rooms, executive lounge and business centre, complemented by a 1,400 m\u00b2 ballroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon to be converted to the top-of-the-range Radisson Blu brand, this establishment located in the heart of the capital, on the Place des Droits de l'Homme, was until now known as the Hotel Laico Tunis, according to the Radisson Blu.Tunisian Echo<\/em>. This has been the case since its renovation in 2018, when the Laico brand took over what was once the H\u00f4tel des Congr\u00e8s Tunis, and in its early days a property of the Tunisian Abou Nawas chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built at the end of the 60s by architects Olivier-Cl\u00e9ment Cacoub and Yves Roa, this capital city landmark has seen a number of famous names pass through its walls numerous personalities<\/strong>From Jimmy Carter and Nelson Mandela to Micka\u00ebl Jackson and Monica Bellucci. There is no doubt that the future Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Center has the ambition to occupy the same place, offering visiting celebrities and business travellers 305 rooms and numerous dining venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Tunisian capital is not Radisson's only preferred destination in North Africa. Morocco's main metropolis, Casablanca<\/strong>This is also the case in France, where the group recently opened a second address, the Radisson Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle<\/a>with 133 rooms and a 450 m\u00b2 meeting space. In the 'White City', the Group has unveiled an even more ambitious project: a three-in-one hotel complex with 381 rooms, due to open by the end of 2027 in the heart of Casablanca Finance City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
