While Park Hyatt continues to establish itself in the world's major cities, with a new hotel due to open in London at the end of the year, it is not sparing any detours into the world of top-of-the-range resorts. Particularly in Africa, where, after opening a hotel in Zanzibar in the middle of the last decade, the luxury brand has just welcomed its first customers to Marrakech<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounded by palm trees, olive groves and jacaranda bushes, its setting is enchanting, housed as it is in a 7.5 hectare complex at the foot of the Atlas Mountains and around ten kilometres from the centre of the Moroccan city. With everything to satisfy golfers, and access for guests to the 18-hole course<\/strong> of the adjacent Al Maaden golf course, as well as travellers in search of an exclusive break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its assets include a vast wellness centre of over 2,200 m\u00b2, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, and a top-of-the-range gastronomic offer ranging from the brasserie featuring the new wave of Moroccan cuisine to the Pavillon restaurant on the terrace and by the pool, not forgetting the Living Room, where you can enjoy a cocktail surrounded by bookshelves and fireplaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the place is also an ideal venue for corporate meetings<\/strong>. The Park Hyatt Marrakech, designed by architect and decorator Imaad Rahmouni, is inspired by traditional mud villages, or douars, and comprises 16 pavilions, one of which, measuring 1,000 m\u00b2, is entirely dedicated to hosting meetings and events. The hotel has seven function rooms, most of which can accommodate up to 80 people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Private foyer, patio, terrace: there's no shortage of ways to welcome business groups under privileged conditions. And as each pavilion has a roof terrace, private events can also be organised there, with a 360\u00b0 view of Mount Toubkal and the surrounding panorama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its design inspired by Arab-Berber architecture reinterpreted in a contemporary way, the Park Hyatt Marrakech offers a total of 130 rooms and suites<\/strong> in an elegant d\u00e9cor enhanced by an arty touch, the result of a collaboration with the Ifitry artists' residence. Hence the presence in the hotel and its rooms of more than 700 paintings and decorative objects specially designed by artists from all over the world, from Morocco, Senegal and Benin to France, Spain and Japan. Other works include the masterly hanging lamp in the lobby, by Mounat Charrat, and two abstract paintings by Italian artist Gianni Lucchessi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next destination announced for Park Hyatt in Africa, Johannesburg<\/strong> and its Rosebank district, where the luxury brand is awaiting the transformation of an intimate five-star hotel, Winston Hotel<\/a>The building has been transformed into an exclusive contemporary house with around thirty bedrooms, under the direction of the renowned Yabu Pushelberg design studio.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
