Involved with the Organising Committee since Paris' bid to host the Olympic Games, becoming an official partner of the event in 2021, before moving up to Premium status in 2023, the Accor group is at the heart of Olympic Games hospitality. First and foremost because it is responsible for ensuring the comfort of the athletes in their race to win a medal. \"\u00a0For the first time in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, a hotel group is contributing to the Piloting the Athletes' and Media Villages<\/strong><\/em>\" says Tony Vasselin, Director of Operations for these two villages within the hotel group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buffet breakfast to ibis standards - for a total of 100,000 served during the period -, linen supply and room cleaning, resident information<\/strong> More than 700 people will be mobilised night and day throughout the period to manage a complex of almost 16,000 beds. Based on double beds, this is the equivalent of eight very large hotels with 1,000 rooms. All of this is in line with the Group's CSR policy, through the recycling of organic waste and the elimination of waste, as well as the use of eco-labelled textiles, with the linen being reused in the Group's hotels or donated to health institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the prospect of the Paralympic Games is also leading to progress in welcoming disabled travellers. Accor is committed to Tourisme & Handicap\" certification<\/strong> with nearly 80 hotels having already been awarded this label out of a total of 380 establishments committed to this approach. As part of this process, internal GPS applications to make it easier for people with visual impairments to get around have been introduced at the Pullman Paris Bercy and the Sofitel Lyon Bellecour, and Accor is also working on rolling out its Smart Room. In other words, a room concept that meets PRM standards, but is also aesthetically pleasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Accor has also provided its ResaEvents white-label booking platform to the organisation to federate the hotel offer for visitors, its 650 establishments<\/strong> schools in the 10 competition cities will be getting into the spirit of the Games with events - such as an introduction to breaking - or dressing up their establishments in the colours of Paris 2024. \"\u00a0All our teams are working hard to develop memorable experiences for the Games<\/em>\" St\u00e9phanie Dartevelle, VP Sponsoring Accor Europe and North Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Olympification\" of the customer journey<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of this programme, 10 establishments (*) will be offering an evening entertainment programme specially designed for the Games: the ALL Mood Service<\/strong>. From 6pm to 9pm, a member of staff equipped with a trolley with four bells - including one for children - will wander around the bars and restaurants, terraces and rooftops, offering customers the chance to draw a card according to their mood of the day: \"Mood d\u00e9tente\", \"Mood victoire\" or \"Mood r\u00e9confort\". There's a chance to win a make-up session, a free drink in the bar, a free supporter's kit, a reader of a personalised poem or, for the lucky ones, the daily golden ticket, which can be exchanged for two tickets to watch an Olympic event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This 'Olympification' of the customer experience also extends to the food and beverage offer, with the possibility of tasting the following products at breakfast athletes' favourite recipes <\/strong>the ALL Champions Family, a team of 10 athletes supported by the hotelier with a view to their selection for the Olympic Games. Specialities include banana pancakes from paracyclist Marie Patouillet and a vitamin-packed smoothie from fencer Alexandre Sido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
