The first, Economy Comfort, is a new full-fare economy class, similar to the product already offered by its European partners Air France-KLM and Alitalia. Offering more legroom and an improved recline, Economy Comfort will be installed on more than 160 aircraft. An electrical socket will also be integrated into each seat. The Economy Comfort can be booked at an additional marginal cost of between \u20ac60 and \u20ac120 per journey, but Gold and Silver members of the Medallion frequent flyer programme will be entitled to a discount.<\/p>\n

The other aspect of the renovation of the international product will see the installation of seat-beds by 2013 in BusinessElite class. The first aircraft to feature a new-look cabin with 34 seat-beds will be Delta's 32 Airbus A330s on intercontinental routes. The in-flight entertainment system will also be expanded, with a range of nearly 250 films and the integration of WiFi. In 2013, the US airline's 150 wide-body aircraft will be upgraded to the new standards. Delta Air Lines is investing nearly two billion dollars in on-board comfort, as well as on the ground.
