This is the conclusion of a survey by the B2B payment service provider, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/airplus-solutions-paiement-credit-agricole-20250619.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AirPlus<\/strong> <\/a>in the Swiss Confederation. The payment specialist bases its analysis on data relating to airline tickets sold to Swiss companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first half of 2024, the <strong>The number of tickets purchased by Swiss companies rose from 10%<\/strong> compared with the same period in 2023. In fact, Swiss business travel is increasing more strongly than elsewhere in Europe. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/airplus-business-travel-index-20240826.html\/\">AirPlus<\/a> estimates this difference at +1.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/airplus-troussicot-interview-seb-20241004.html\/\" data-id=\"182657\">J. Troussicot (AirPlus): \"Creating the leading payment provider in Europe\".<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-forte-chute-des-tarifs-en-classe-premium-economy\">Sharp fall in Premium Economy fares<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This favourable trend can be attributed to a number of factors. The most important is the fall in the price of air tickets, linked to a return to air capacity and the strengthening of the Swiss franc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to AirPlus, the decline affects all booking classes. In the first half, a <strong>business class ticket cost an average of CHF 4,230<\/strong>This represents a fall of 4.7% (\u20ac1 = CHF0.95).<strong> Economy class tickets<\/strong> recorded the smallest fall at <strong>603 CHF<\/strong> (-1.3%). However, the biggest fall was in the Premium Eco class. With an average price of <strong>709 CHF<\/strong>, <strong>Premium Eco down 27.2%<\/strong> from one year to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another factor in the decline is the combination of a business trip with a leisure stay. <strong>Nearly 23% of Swiss business travellers started their trip at a weekend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of booking class, 17.3% of Swiss business travellers chose business class in the first half of the year, roughly the same number as in the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/frustrations-voyageurs-airplus-20241011.html\/\" data-id=\"183113\">AirPlus study: what if business travellers' frustrations were driving them to leave?<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of Swiss business travellers is rising sharply.
