The company has just announced that it is taking over <strong>its flights between Lisbon and Manaus<\/strong>the capital of the state of Amazonia. The route had previously been operated from 2014 to 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TAP Air Portugal to operate three weekly flights<\/strong> with a stopover in Bel\u00e9m on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The first flight is scheduled for <strong>4 November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the return of this flight, <strong>the company will consolidate its presence in 13 of Brazil's regional capitals<\/strong>. It proposes <strong>95 flights a week on 15 routes<\/strong> (13 to Lisbon and two to Porto). This represents <strong>13 daily frequencies<\/strong>a record from Europe. However, flights to Porto Alegre remain temporarily suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tap-air-portugal-bluetooth-20250910.html\/\" data-id=\"207249\">TAP Air Portugal activates Bluetooth<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-taux-de-remplissage-en-legere-baisse-sur-l-amerique-du-sud\">Slightly lower load factor in South America<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For<strong> Lu\u00eds Rodrigues, CEO of TAP<\/strong>, \" l<em>razil is a strategic country for TAP. The return of our flight to Manaus is another sign that we are continuing to capitalise on the development of our activities in this country. We recently launched a new route to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/florianopolis-tap-air-portugal-20240611.html\/\">Florian\u00f3polis<\/a>. We will end the year with <strong>at least 15 routes to Brazil<\/strong>a record<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He continued: \" <em>Our aim is to attract more and more tourists to Brazil, not just from Portugal, but from all the countries served by TAP. We want to continue to be the leading international airline in Brazil.<\/em> \" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To South America, the airline has added a number of frequencies for the summer season. It offers one extra flight a week to <strong>Bel\u00e9m, Bras\u00edlia, Natal\/Maceio, Salvador <\/strong>and <strong>S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong>.<strong> Fortaleza<\/strong> and <strong>Rio<\/strong> benefits from two extra flights a week. While <strong>Recife saw a near doubling of its frequencies<\/strong>from 6 to 13 flights a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, TAP Air Portugal has launched three flights a week for the summer season between <strong>Lisbon and Caracas<\/strong> in Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bresil-tap-air-portugal-iberia\/\" data-id=\"211021\">Brazil sparks competition on the Iberian Peninsula<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>This increase in seat capacity is reflected in the financial results for the first half of 2024. According to the financial statement <strong>capacity in seats\/km<\/strong> on South America shows <strong>an increase of 9%<\/strong> between the first half of 2023 and 2024. Nevertheless, economic performance has deteriorated: average unit revenue is down by 3% from one half-year to the next.
