Contemporary and sophisticated, the first Mandarin Oriental to open in Beijing in 2019, in the Wangfujing district, was in the tradition of the great luxury hotels of the Chinese capital. The Hong Kong-based group's second establishment offers a more local but no less exclusive touch, drawing inspiration from its surroundings, a district of hutongs<\/strong>. Located not far from the Forbidden City, the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen has just welcomed its first guests to a complex of 42 courtyard houses decorated in the traditional style.
