In November 2022, Paris-Beauvais airport welcomed the low-cost carrier easyJet with fanfare and trumpets, with the launch of flights to Lisbon. A trial balloon transformed in 2023 with the launch of flights to Milan Malpensa and Nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the orange airline is throwing in the towel at the airport north of Paris. In the midst of a restructuring exercise (notably with the closure of its Toulouse base<\/a>), easyJet has just announced that it will be discontinuing its three routes from Beauvais at the end of October.<\/strong>. The reason: the inability to make its flights on the hub profitable. These have also generated competition for its own routes from Orly and Roissy CDG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, easyJet's setbacks are a boon for Ryanair<\/strong> which has just announced special fares from Beauvais to Lisbon and Milan, routes on which the two airlines were competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
