London's luxury hotel scene welcomes a new star guest with the long-awaited opening of the Park Hyatt London River Thames. After Paris, Milan, Vienna, Zurich and Istanbul - and with Rome still to come - the British capital<\/strong> has been added to the list of destinations offered in Europe by the American group's luxury brand. Or rather, added, since it was present there for a time before returning to this key global metropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its new debut, the hotel has chosen the Nine Elms district, which has undergone a major transformation since the United States embassy <\/strong>moved there in 2018, leaving Mayfair for the banks of the Thames and the neighbourhood of Battersea Park, one of London's greenest spaces. Located on the south bank of the river, opposite Chelsea, the area is also known for its power station dating from the 1930s, whose famous silhouette was used as the backdrop for Pink Floyd's Animals album. An industrial setting that has recently been transformed into a trendy place to live under the guidance of Frank Gehry and Norman Foster, home to a host of bars, boutiques and restaurants, as well as accommodation, Art'otel Battersea Power Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But business travellers will also find plenty of art at the Park Hyatt London River Thames. Right from the entrance, with an installation by Charlie Whinney, Ebb and Flow, inspired by the River Thames. Scattered throughout the hotel, other works by renowned artists <\/strong>Ian Rayer-Smith, Jo Taylor, Fran\u00e7oise Delaire, Gabriel Leung, George Blacklock and Ewan David all contributed to the sophistication of the establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combining contemporary British classicism<\/strong>The design embodies the timeless elegance of the Park Hyatt brand. The hotel's 203 rooms, including 34 suites, reflect this spirit, with walls wallpapered with motifs by English designer William Morris and a combination of white and ebony with touches of leather and brass. All complemented by an ideal view of the London skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
