The Radisson and IHG groups have both announced major developments in Italy. Radisson has concluded five new projects and is expecting to open seven establishments in the country, IHG <\/strong>is continuing to expand its luxury wellness brand Six Senses. Established in Rome since 2023, in the former Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini next to the Corso, Six Senses will be moving next year to Milan<\/strong>at Via Brera 19, just opposite the Pinacoteca. In the heart of this arty district, the future Six Senses will offer 68 rooms, including 15 suites, two of which will have a swimming pool. All guests will also have access to a rooftop pool and bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little later, in 2028, Six Senses will move in on the shores of Lake Como<\/strong> following the renovation of the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia in the town of the same name. Opened in 1820, the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia is one of the oldest hotels in the area and will see its number of rooms considerably reduced to become part of IHG's luxury brand. The future resort will offer 102 rooms and suites, a spa of course, but also a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool and a floating pool on the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With another of the brand's hotels, the Six Senses Antognolla, also announced in Umbria, IHG is continuing to develop its luxury and lifestyle brands in Italy, marked in particular by the opening last year of the Six Senses Antognolla.InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace<\/a>. Similarly, the Radisson<\/strong> will also offer a new luxury hotel, also overlooking Lake Como. Located in the heart of Como, the Radisson Collection San Gottardo Como will open its doors in September 2025 and will offer 72 rooms and suites, as well as a restaurant and rooftop terrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this is not the only development expected by the group, since in total Radisson will offer seven new hotels<\/strong> in Italy by the end of 2025. And this as part of the acceleration of its presence, which has risen from 3 to 20 hotels in six years, and is likely to reach around thirty by 2027.
La Italian capital<\/strong> In late 2024\/early 2025, the art'otel Rome Piazza Sallustio will open its doors, a contemporary 99-room hotel in which the artist Pietro Ruffo will collaborate. Meanwhile, the upmarket Radisson Blu brand will soon be setting up between the EUR and Ostiense districts with Radisson Blu G.I. Rome, which will offer almost 200 rooms, three restaurants and meeting spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radisson continues to grow in Italy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Radisson Blu Florence will have a large conference area<\/strong> with ten rooms dedicated to business events. Close to the station and the city centre, this hotel with 329 rooms and suites has been designed as an urban resort, with a large 25 m outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and two restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top-of-the-range Radisson Blu brand is also expected to open in Bergamo this December 2024, in a multi-purpose complex with an innovative design<\/strong>Chorus Life will include shops and restaurants, a spa and outdoor green spaces. But for business travellers, Chorus Life will above all house a 6,500-seat arena capable of hosting concerts and sporting events, as well as conventions. The hotel will offer 107 rooms and suites, some with terraces, as well as a meeting area divided into four rooms and a panoramic restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, the Radisson brand will be making its debut at Pisa<\/strong>In the second half of 2025, Radisson will be opening a new hotel, near the famous Leaning Tower, in an existing 128-room hotel with meeting rooms, which will undergo a slight renovation to become part of the Radisson network. As part of its development, Radisson is not forgetting its lifestyle brand Radisson RED<\/a> which will take over the former headquarters of the newspaper Il Mattino<\/em> in Naples to create 150 rooms, a meeting space and a rooftop terrace.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
