Mir\u00f3, who worked in Barcelona and Paris, also lived through dark periods, such as the Spanish Civil War and the beginnings of the Second World War.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, always hostile to General Franco, his abstract canvases of the late 60s and early 70s are a symbol of fierce resistance to the caudillo.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; \"><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 102, 0); \"><strong>Mir\u00f3.
