The appointment of a new government and <strong>a complete overhaul of the 2025 budget<\/strong> could result in <strong>a delay in the application of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/senat-augmentation-taxe-aerienne-france-20241129.html\/\">increase in air tax<\/a> of solidarity<\/strong>. <strong>Or even its complete overhaul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing is less certain, but there would still be a window of opportunity for French air transport to convince a future government to revise this bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Three options<\/strong> There are therefore two reasons for the increase in the solidarity tax on air transport. The first is ultimately <strong>the survival of the Barnier government<\/strong>. The increase in the TSBA is due to come into force on 1 January. The second is the <strong>very rapid appointment of a new government<\/strong>. It would be required to finalise the 2025 budget by 31 December. With this tax (modified or not) coming into force in the first days of January. Third solution: no government is appointed, involving <strong>a renewal of the 2024 budget<\/strong>. And air transport will remain taxed at this year's level.
