Brussels Airlines<\/strong> has unveiled its long-haul network for theSummer 2025<\/strong>with record capacity to theAfrica<\/strong> sub-Saharan Africa. The Belgian airline will operate 56 weekly flights to the region, an increase of 10 % compared to summer 2024. The capacity of the additional long-haul aircraft - bringing the total to 11 - will be deployed mainly to sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to the two North Atlantic routes linking Brussels to New York-JFK and Washington-Dulles International.<\/p>\n

The arrival of the 11th Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft in June 2025 will mean a densification of Brussels Airlines on Africa<\/a><\/strong>. According to the Belgian carrier's schedule, routes to Nairobi <\/strong>(Kenya) and Accra<\/strong> (Ghana) will move to daily rotations. Banjul <\/strong>(Gambia), Freetown <\/strong>(Sierra Leone) and Conakry <\/strong>(Guinea) will benefit from additional frequencies. Dakar <\/strong>(Senegal) and Abidjan <\/strong>(C\u00f4te d'Ivoire) will be served by more direct flights instead of triangular flights.<\/p>\n

Kinshasa non-stop daily, stopover in Luanda<\/h2>\n

The main new feature of the Africa 2025 programme will be a daily non-stop service to Kinshasa<\/strong> in the Democratic Republic of Congo. From March 2025, this direct route will replace the five existing weekly non-stop flights. As well as the two weekly flights via Luanda in Angola.<\/p>\n

It's a fact, Brussels Airlines to cease services to the Angolan capital<\/strong>The company is supported by its parent company's network, Lufthansa<\/strong>. The German airline offers three weekly frequencies from Frankfurt by A330.<\/p>\n

With this daily non-stop flight, Brussels Airlines hopes to reduce the risk of delays or other operational problems. At the same time as offering a more sustainable flight with the end of its stopover. \"\u00a0Kinshasa is undoubtedly our flagship route<\/strong>. The history of aviation in Belgium began almost 100 years ago with the ambition of linking Kinshasa and Brussels by air. The Belgian carrier will continue to expand its long-haul network over the next few years with the delivery of two further aircraft. We are thinking of Canada and probably a destination in the Middle East or Asia.
