This is the question <strong>BCD Travel<\/strong> intends to provide some answers with the publication of its new Travel Market Report - 2025 Oulook. The twenty-page report looks at the major trends likely to shape the business travel landscape over the next 12 months. With a particular focus on pricing trends...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bcd-travel-buyers\/\" data-id=\"210415\">AI, cost management, contracts: travel buyers surveyed by BCD Travel<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>On this point, the <strong>air sector<\/strong> appears to be approaching 2025 with a degree of stability. BCD Travel estimates that overall, the average ticket price will remain unchanged (+0.11 %). The authors of the report state: \"While regional fares are expected to increase by 0.2 %, intercontinental fares are expected to fall by 0.6 %. Overall, economy fares are expected to remain stable, given concerns about the sustainability of leisure demand. But the continued recovery in business travel and growing demand from leisure travellers for a premium experience will give airlines the confidence to increase business class fares by 1.0 %\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In detail, across Europe, BCD Travel anticipates a fare increase of 1% to 1.5% for regional traffic, in business and economy classes respectively. On the international network, business class should remain stable (0.5%), and economy class will fall slightly (-1%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bcd-travel-cities-trends-2025-20250328.html\/\" data-id=\"195977\">BCD Travel: top business destinations revealed<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"479\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/bcd-2025-b.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-187139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/bcd-2025-b.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/bcd-2025-b-300x205-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/bcd-2025-b-218x150-derived.jpg 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Le <strong>hotel industry<\/strong> According to BCD, the outlook for 2025 is less stable. Worldwide, the travel agency expects the average room rate to rise by 2.9 %. The European market is in line with the average (+2.8%), while the Middle East - and Saudi Arabia in particular - are pulling up prices (+4.1%). With an increase of 6.5%, Saudi Arabia is even bucking the regional trend, with other Middle Eastern destinations showing much more stable curves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the European market, the <strong>France <\/strong>is heading for a sharp rise in fares (+4%), according to BCD. This is the biggest increase in the region, along with Spain (+6%) and Switzerland (+4%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/travel-manager-bcd-travel-decrypte-la-fiche-de-poste-20241126.html\/\" data-id=\"186083\">Travel manager: BCD Travel deciphers the job description<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>The focus must be on useful travel - where low emissions, positive local impact, traveller well-being and business success go hand in hand.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>While BCD Travel's report - surprisingly - makes no mention of the rail sector, TMC devotes a whole section of its study to responsible travel. This focus analyses the major trends and offers some advice to the players involved. The authors of the report sum it up as follows: \" <em>New reporting requirements will force companies to pay greater attention to their sustainability data and targets, as well as disclosing their annual progress. With greater transparency will come greater expectations for business travel to play its part in tackling climate change. Less talk and more action will be needed to avoid accusations of greenwashing. The focus must be on meaningful travel - where low emissions, positive local impact, traveller wellbeing and business success go hand in hand. Travellers need to know when to travel and when to stay at home<\/em> \".
