What better way to realise its ambitions than by setting up shop in the country's tallest skyscraper, in one of the capital's key projects? The Hilton Group's desire to double its presence in Morocco<\/strong> will be launching its prestigious Waldorf Astoria brand in the Mohammed VI Tower in 2025. Rising to a height of 250 m, its silhouette, designed by architects Rafael de la Hoz and Hakim Benjelloun, evokes a rocket on its launch pad and symbolises Rabat's desire for tourism to take off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategically located between the Moroccan capital and the town of Sal\u00e9, along the banks of the Bouregreg river, this Rabat's new lighthouse<\/strong>The 55-storey Waldorf Astoria Rabat Sal\u00e9, designed to the latest sustainable standards, will house luxury flats and offices, with an observation terrace at the top and a luxury hotel with 55 rooms and suites. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat Sal\u00e9 will also offer business travellers several restaurants, including one by the pool, a signature Peacock Alley bar, as well as meeting and event spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n

As significant as this opening is, it should not overshadow the group's many other projects in Morocco, where Hilton intends to exceed 20 establishments in the next few years<\/strong>. The American hotelier has signed up nine future hotels under seven of its brands. \"\u00a0The introduction of new banners - and the expansion of existing ones - demonstrates our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of customers visiting the country where we have enjoyed a presence for nearly six decades.<\/em>\" said Carlos Khneisser, VP in charge of development for the Hilton Group in the Middle East and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the Waldorf Astoria in Rabat, its collection of independent luxury hotels, LXR Hotels & Resorts, is due to open in Casablanca next year, in the 'Golden Triangle' of Morocco's business capital<\/strong>. Located on the boulevard Anfa, this 148-room and suite lifestyle hotel will be the centrepiece of the new Metropolitan development, a mix of high-end flats, shops and offices. The hotel itself will offer residents and external guests three restaurants, a rooftop and an outdoor swimming pool, as well as multifunctional meeting spaces. A Curio Collection hotel with 63 rooms will also open nearby in 2026, and the brand is also expected to open in Rabat the same year with a 94-room establishment topped by a rooftop restaurant and swimming pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casablanca, Rabat, Tangiers: the Hilton Group's development targets giving priority to Morocco's three major cities<\/strong>. Its flagship brand is expected to arrive in the capital in 2026, within the new Capital Mall shopping centre. Featuring 162 rooms, the Hilton Rabat will offer leisure facilities with outdoor and indoor pools and a wide range of dining options. Meanwhile, the mid-range Hilton Garden Inn brand will make its debut in Casablanca in two years' time with a 176-room property. Well ahead of all this, the upscale, business-focused DoubleTree by Hilton brand will make its debut in the 'White City' at the end of this year through the takeover of an existing hotel - the Grand Mogador Casablanca - with a conference centre offering 13 rooms and a large ballroom for a total of 389 rooms on the accommodation side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for Tangiers, the major city in the north of the country is expecting the debut of both a luxurious Waldorf Astoria and a more lifestyle-oriented Canopy by Hilton. Hilton's growth in Morocco will focus on the budget brand Hampton by Hilton<\/strong>It is due to be built next to the Polytechnic University of Benguerir in 2026, and near the Fes golf course in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
