Monday also saw the return of the direct rail link between Nancy and Lyon. <strong>six years after his suspension<\/strong> in 2018, mainly due to the work being carried out at Lyon Part-Dieu station. Highly-anticipated by residents and businesses in the Grand Est region, as well as in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9 and Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes regions, this resumption of a regional balance train (TET) has been made possible thanks to a \u20ac48.6m financial contribution for the period 2025-2028 from the State and several local authorities, the Greater Nancy Metropolitan Area and the Grand Est region, as well as the Meurthe-et-Moselle and Vosges d\u00e9partements. The State will then take over all the funding from 2029.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Operated until 2027 by R\u00e9giolis trains with a capacity of<strong>a daily return trip between Nancy and Lyon<\/strong> in around 4? hours. Scheduled to depart from Nancy at 7.46am, the route serves Toul, Neufch\u00e2teau, Culmont-Chalindrey, Dijon-Ville, Chalon-sur-Sa\u00f4ne, M\u00e2con, Lyon-Part-Dieu and Lyon-Perrache. A second return trip is already planned during the day from the end of 2025. A Corail train will take over from the R\u00e9giolis from 2028.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During this 2025-2028 period, following an agreement between the State and the Grand Est Region, TER Grand Est season ticket holders will be able to use this service between Nancy and Culmont-Chalindrey with their TER Fluo season ticket. For other passengers and other routes, Intercit\u00e9s fares will apply.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Six years after it was discontinued, the Nancy-Lyon rail link is back in
